I am online right now trying to buy some Kingbrite. I am slightly confused because on one part it says its ready to ship and will in 7 days? But arrival date is like in 30 days. Is that the actual one right there? Is that standard from alibaba? Sigh...wanted those badboys asap lol

You realize the whole world is in a shipping crisis right now right? There are like 60 cargo ships waiting in the sea at the California port alone to be unloaded.

Wrong time to buy from the baba unfortunately
Nah sorry between the almost 70hr weeks and my family being torn apart over stupid shit because my grandma died I hadn't been keeping up with all the worldwide shipping. Thanks

What part? Is it big or heavy? Some things shipp by sea, some by air. Never tried shipp but now's not the right time to try. Usually air is better for customs, more streamlined. Just pay the shipping agent (I'm with dhl usually) on arrival or while scheduling final mile. By sea: usually big boxes like strip lights but if I wanted something like that I could just get bare strips and build something myself.
As for heavy/drivers: I'd rather have drivers from regular distributors and locally than something I don't have confidence in having past proper qc.

Took 26 days for mine, it was customs where they spent most of their time. They arrived in US in 10 days and customs held it for another 10 then it shipped to me and 6 days later they were here… well worth the wait though.

These problems are mostly customs related normally. When using air transport (at least as far as I've tried) the shipping agent clears the items for you, but charges you a few for doing it for you. But at least they have an express deal with customs and can get at customs in ways we normals mostly can't. Which means the customs people can sit happily on your stuff as long as they want to.
Usually same thing for normal post. My first led order from Cobkits a few years ago was a bit of a nightmare, especially since cobs and drivers arrived separately. When I realized there was a years old group/thread on fb hating on the company who handled the customer service of the post office custom I decided to only go for air shippers.

I think the most recent reply to the fb thread was regarding "how is it legal for these guys to take my money and and never send me my stuff? Isn't that theft?"
It made up my mind.

my 2nd order took a little longer as it wasn't shipped for a week but it was only a few days once shipped to EU. There was a holiday in China which I expect was the 1 week delay. I will be buying more soon, going crazy :)

What was import tax like in the uk
I'm not sure exactly how much tax/duty was i had trouble with the courier and had to pay 60 quid, it will depend on how much you're spending if you check Google you'll be able to work out the total cost.
