I will look into this as well. I do a full wash on my girls than hang dry. A minor wet trim. Just the big shit. Than a full dry trim.
Yeah I was very skeptical at first but man it amazed me not saying that takes much but watch the vid is on it you can do a pound or little over at a time takes about ten minutes and you have control it never over does it unless you just never check it and shake it 200 times

Part 2. Trimmed second plant today. You’d think I’d get faster. Lol. Nope solid 9hrs at the chair for 8.90oz. Total through 2 plants now at 18.55oz. Next one chop chop tomorrow. Still have 4 in the dirt.

Lol I love this thread and your feelings about it.

I convince myself that the LONGER it takes the better. It hasnt really worked but it helps to think that way.

I have found that planning an hour per ounce is a good amount to plan for. Each strain and grower is different, and sometimes I get through 2 or more ounces an hour. Bless those plants with fewer leaves it's awesome lol.

Part of what makes it hard is the end of flower is easy without a lot of work. Then it switches to all day marathons. And isn't it funny no friends around on trim days! Lol.

I’ve found the best way to cut trim time is to do it in stages. Big fans come off immediately after chopping, medium leaves about a week in then a final cleanup once dryings over, barely have to close the snips on the sugar leaves.
Strongly agreed

At home. I clip. Trim the fans as I harvest, Let those bitches float with the wind. All the stuff I’m not saving is mulched back to earth I guess. Then I flip it for as long as it takes. Once the buds dry. I buck and close trim last. Usually makes it’s way to jars around 2 weeks after chop.
I’ll play around with some. Curing differently. Extra slow. Deep freezing. Mother in law is water curing. (I don’t know what the fuck that Is) But if you have enough and not a dealer. Why not play around

So…. Still 1st of 6 plants, and after 7hrs of trimming and jarring today, realizing I have 5 more plants. I officially hate harvest/dry trim day. However. Results were good. Rocked out 9.65oz dried, and trimmed off first plant. Now to cure. Won’t try it for a month.

I like trimming this year wayyyyy better then years past because I finally got one to turn out. I was actually dreading it but honestly, when you grow right it’s not so bad! Those airy loose buds in years past were the absolute worst to try and trim.

your bounty looks great!

A revision from 6 days ago when I claimed I loved it. Lol. A full day just trimming, chopping, washing, hanging. Than came the back pain. Hahaha. Today was trim and dry, and started out with thinking 2, than 4, than fuck it. All day. So yeah…. Knowing I have 5 more to go, I’m less excited. I’ll happy when it’s done.
Find a trimming buddy. Makes it twice as fast and twice as enjoyable!

I saw those pics earlier in your journal and my first thought was “holy shit that’s gonna be a lot of trimming” (that was my real thought, the Canuck crispy buds nonsense was internet sarcasm).
I had to knock off early myself last night because my eyes weren’t focusing well anymore but I’m going to be trimming all weekend. My main trimming buddy has become a shut-in with COVID and my wife has better things to do. Too bad, she’s faster and better than me.

I got my wife out the other day helping with minor wet trim and big fans. It sure helps. I’ll have her out there all day when I take my last two. But I can’t get her to dry trim with me. Lol. Not yet anyway.

Absolutely beautiful. Harvest time for many of us. I’m not worried about my one hanging. It’s the two biggest ones I need to harvest monday before snow and - temps set in.

Outside here has been done for weeks. First frost came mid September

Where about are you? I had one frost same time but they survived. No more growth. But they have continued to ripen, and all the cold nights have definitely brought out the resin production. I can’t push it any longer though. It’s been rainy since last night, set to continue til Monday. Tarp awning keeps em dry, but I’ll chop em both Monday.
