Low stress training?

I’ve never LST any of my auto flowers I’ve done some research and everything but just wondering if there’s anyone who can give me a little insight on the topic?? I just don’t wanna screw my plants up and I wanna be a little more comfortable before I try..

This isn't an auto plant but it'll give you an idea. Using the same technique on autos. Some growers like to tie another wire going the opposite direction, to help the main stalk stay in place.

It's all about continuous tying down the tallest branches of the plant. Start early and keep adjusting to keep the plant even, or as best you can.



Eventually you will get to a point where it's in it's final form and can remove the rest of the ties.

Which type of material are you guys using for the ties?

I use coated electric wire, the 2 wire contractors coils, then split it with a razor. You get the black and white wires, i like how they're soft, rounded, and just crazy strong...holds up well...just got used to it.

I like insulated wire that keeps form but is easy to bend, stay away from pipe cleaners and fuzzy stuff like that

I used that this year on some tomato plants. I was considering this as a solution but I'm not sure it'll be as sturdy in the dirt as a thicker gauge electrical wire. I'll test that out first though. Most of the wire I have hanging around is smaller gauge guitar electronics wire. Too light for this purpose. Also gets expensive.

The only time i stick it straight in the dirt is when they're tiny and outdoors

I use sticks jammed in the dirt and wire on the sticks

This is overkill for indoors i need this beefy stuff. Indoors u can use string or twine if you want

I did it that way (with bamboo) on my last grow indoors. it worked but I wanted to try something direct into the dirt. Found the bamboo shoots a bit unwieldy in my tight grow space. I believe I saw a few posts from another members here (@bk78 ??) that uses this wire approach, but I may be wrong on the member name.

I'm just curious, because I have zero issues training huge plants with the tiny wire.

You seem so mad. Oh wind and storms... I get it. Small string bean plants usually need the stronger help.

Not peacocking or putting anything in your face believe me. Don't want people to think they need something more than is required.
