I know how that is. I have all sorts of shit i been just dumping in these beds to use them up. I had a some egg shell, ground kelp meal, coffee grounds, Yeah i just blended all that together and just split if over the beds. Maybe 3 cups total for each bed. Still have a couple bags of Jobos Plant spikes. LOL oh the stuff we collect.

Not following the relevance here. Sorry.

What does any of this have to do with removing plants from living soil? I disagree about your compost. My compost in my back yard that I pee'd on is better.

I think the answer was there the first page of this post.

@Weedvin

Damnit you get under my skin. It’s cause I love organic so much. Your bs should be banned. To think that your bullshit had spread to almost every organic forum post on the site makes me cringe.

You give soil and organics and bad rep….I hope nobody ever takes your seriously, and I hope that anyone thinking of going to soil doesn’t come upon your cpr method and say this shit is wacky and never look at soil again.

Also stop replying to yourself. Save your conversations with yourself for your head.

I’m out I can’t be here today lol

I cut the stalk about 4" from the top of the soil at harvest time. Take that planter/pot out of rotation, and let it sit for about a month (keeping the soil moist). Then I grab the stalk, gentle twist, and out she comes. Usually the only mass at the bottom of the stalk is the jiffy puck. I cram the stalk back in the dirt, and plant my next one.

3rd reuse this year for mine.prly get 1 more before i start worrying about my micro nute ratios and have to proper redo the amendments
I’ll be dammed. That’s awesome. My whole reason for growing outside is to take advantage of the sun and natural wind. If I can also get rid of the ~$250/yr Soild that’d be stellar. I’ll go find some other threads and learn!

I'll jump with a question:

Thoughts on doing it in a 10gal pot? I've read than 15gal is minimum for no-till.
But i have a 10gal pot that i removed the plant from, sowed some barley seed and keep watering it.

You think i will be able to put another seed or plant in a few weeks when rootball can be easily removed? Or better do some ROLS style and remix again the soil?
