How do you remove plants from living soil no till

I have a compost going (started 7 yrs ago) and have lots of bugs/degradation going on. I could add some of that on top but it tends to stay kind of wet cause of all the veggie scraps.

Compost bin looks like this… that could be mixed better or maybe dumped out.

Sounds like you may need to serperate your compost.
Look into a worm bin also. The castings are full of enzymes from the digestive tract of composting worms. It helps break down organic matter and they help condition the soil.
