I just got a new HLG Scorpion Diablo. Was also considering Gavita, end up with HLG. since i was using my old led doing 18 hours veg, most of them started flowering for some reason, or might have made a mistake sinve i havent done this in 5 years or so. But definitely cant be any happier with this light. I thinknim going to get a China LED like kingbrite for Vegging and early stage of flowering

Just a random thought here on gavita lights. They've always been the overpriced option for lighting. They have quality components, but the lights in my opinion are absolutely not worth $1100/each to cover a 5x5. Checkout @bk78 and his meijiu lights. You can buy 2 for the price of a single gavita. His yields are ridiculous and his leaves are nice and healthy all the way to harvest. I would have bought 2 myself for my last upgrade but I was shopping on the cheap and went with a more affordable option. The grower's choice lights are excellent too. The geeklights are another one to check out. Happy hunting!
And add the rediculous shipping on the Gavita. At least for me who now lives overseas. Cant seem to find any Meijiu on alibaba anymore, or at least the price ive seen is pulling much more than HLG or Gavita

That because the gravitas stupidly don’t fold. Or at least didn't when I was looking at them.

Supply chain issues are a real motherfucker right now. Shopping domestically isn't a bad idea. Those timber lights are dope. HLG is worth looking at too. A little more costly than alibaba vendors but you know you're getting the best of the best. I really like how timber uses COB's. I think they're highly undervalued by other LED manufacturers. The best growth I've ever gotten out of a plant has been with COB's. That timber redwood is one sexy looking piece of equipment. The specs are excellent and the cost is much lower than HLG.

I've never seen lights like that. What model is that and how do you like them? Awesome plot you've got going! Love the mini splits.
My setup is all done by me hence the sometimes hanky construction, lol. But it works great. Also this is my first run with these lights so can’t say for sure but seem to be killing it. For the most part anyways this is a very mixed run and some from seed so not everything is perfect but pretty damn good considering how hard I been running em.

These are the new Gavita 1930e, suppose to replace a de fixture at a 1:1. I do still have two de in the front of the room could only afford 8 of the leds for now(honestly 8 was enough for the space but I had the cooling and said fuck it and hung em all, lol)

Pictures and videos on China made products isnt always what adverised. I would have bough more HLG or Gavita if i still lived in the U.S, i paid a total of 1500 with one unit of the diablo shipping included, Gavita would run me almost 2000 because of it being oversized. I wouldnt pay a China made product worth more than 800 with shipping. But im looking for a geekbeast 400 or 600 it looks promising as advertised. Meijiu seems to have lost there direct store on Alibaba Express. Do you have any info 9f spiderfarmer is reliable?

I just looked up the price, and they are cheaper than my Spectrum King SK600s when they came out. I definitely don't have the height requirements though.
Yes I overvegged trying to get these healthy where I wasn’t used to the new lights and made some mistakes at first. So they got too tall and I never got to hit 100% on the fixtures, I maxed out at 92% and was still getting reading between 1000-1400 on par meter.

I should have just hung straight to the ceiling but I wanted them adjustable, and my plants usually aren’t this tall.

Is everything from the light sourced in California or are they just assembled here? Seems misleading

Hello @Div85

All components that can be sourced domestically are, including all of the aluminum and wiring. The only components not manufactured in the US are the LEDs and drivers, of which all are manufactured overseas. We source all LEDs and drivers through domestic distribution OEM channels. Happy to answer any additional questions.

Have a good day
