Single autoflower selfing project idea

Guy, I could use some input on an idea I'm considering. I've got one seed of 3BOG that I want to plant and both get seeds from AS WELL AS harvest a good amount of unseeded bud from.
I'm thinking I'll STS a branch a few weeks into growing it, then once the branch starts developing male flowers cut it off before they ripen and burst and transplant the branch in a different pot of soil or glass of water outside my main tent. The idea is to collect the pollen seperately and pollinate a specific section of the source plant, like just one of the side branches or the bottom larf of the plant, leaving an easily distinguishable gist of the plant sinsemilla.
Any of you with experience doing this kind of experimental stuff to autos (especially Mephisto's), do you think this will work or will that branch (or even the source plant itself) die from the shock or get too stunted to be useful? Any other problems to anticipate with these procedures?

I think trying to spray a branch, cut and re-establish it and than go back and polinate the same plant will be way too much going on. By the time the pollon is ready, you might be too late to polinate the plant. If i understand correctly, you should be able to just spray 1 branch to turn it hermie and it should grow seeds from that branch alone and the rest of the plant is fine. You just need to put a bag of some sort over the rest of the plant when spraying so no contamination. Not sure why you need to take a branch off and re pot, just to pollinate another branch wasting 1 in the process.

Because the fans will blow the pollen all over the plant. I'm trying to avoid that. And while it might be the only 3BOG plant, that doesn't mean it'll be the only plant I end up having in the tent.
I also wanna save some pollen to use on future plants.

I'm not after massive yields here, so wasting one branch doesn't matter to me as long as I can get it to drop pollen. I just want an ok amount of unseeded 3BOG bud to enjoy and also enough seeds for some future harvests, and I'm hoping I can get both at the same time from the one plant I have a seed for.

Ok, well you try it and let us know how it goes.

Just grow a small guy in a ten gallon aquarium flipped on end and sealed with plastic inside your grow area
It’s been done
Also I have seeded my whole room in horror before

Ya know, I've been trying to come up with something like that to isolate the branch without chopping it. I've been trying to come up with some way to do both that and also make sure those branches get proper air exchange while keeping the pollen in isolation AND making sure I can capture it for future use without just sucking it out (my idea included a small air pump blowing air out), although I guess I wouldn't need to worry about the conditions for those branches If I just want pollen and seeds.

I've flipped an auto's branch before. I don't care who you are, if you're flipping a branch you'll have to hand manicure every bud. Without a separate breeding area you will have pollen get away from you. With the branch I flipped, and left attached, I have pollen for the future, and I got more than 100 seeds. And when did a seed ever make a bud less potent. Less yield, probably but still potent. I'm smoking some purple punch that it's seedy as hell but smokes great.

I just used some scrap paper fanned around the branch to be treated. No overspray issues, easy to cleanup any drips. I'm going to be flipping a branch on my next Bloody Skunk auto and I think I'm going to throw the flipped one in with my last Beast Mode auto, see if I can make some Bloody Beast autos.

I do lots of seed runs with auto's and I really haven't had any pollen drift issues in the same tent. I can't source any STS in Canda so I make my own Colloidal silver.
Here is my procedure

1: spray 1 branch 2-3 times daily for 3 to 4 weeks
2: You will see multiple sacs now on your 1 branch( don't panic)
3: The sacs will start out firm and dark green with some purple in them. These won't have any pollen in them yet.
4: when the sac's start to become soft and a lighter greenish fading to yellow they will start to open up but not fully open.
5: you can pluck these soft yellow pollen sacs daily and self pollinate your desired plant branches. I lightly squeeze individual sacs over a branch that I want pollinated. You will see the pollen dump out onto the branch if you plucked it when it was ready.

After a couple days you should have everything you want pollinated done and you can remove the reversed branch. Pluck off any extra sac's you see if you want to store some pollen for later. As long as you watch your plant daily it's a pretty controlled process and pollen drift is pretty rare even with fans blowing.

(edit) just a side note.. You're only going to have 1-3 sacs per day ready to drop pollen if you keep on top of it. It takes a bit of practice learning what ones are ready to drop pollen.

I use a fine & small brush to accumulate pollen then gently touch the pistils on the lowest branch, inner most flower site. After 24hrs, the pollen will be inert, inactive. To avoid waiting 24hrs and possibly seeding more flower than intended I unplug fans. After the pollen has had a chance to work for 6 hours, I use a spray bottle with tap water to rinse the branch off and let the excess run off onto the soil. I then turn my fans back on.

I like seeding. I've done it enough that I am almost sub-par at it.

Mine will be called Hans-Down. Have ZERO clue what I grew or what I pollinated with but it sure is dank a.f. with fruity overtones. On 2nd week of cure and she's just amazing. Feels like my head is full of helium, all kinds of floaty and then sets you down, then let's you sink. Can't wait till it's had a month of curing to try some again!

I might just try doing it this way.
You could order the 2 precursor chemicals that combine to make STS. That's the better way to do it anyway, since the individual chemicals don't have a shelf life but STS does and it's like a couole weeks.

Don't believe that. That STS I used was 6 months old. I'll be using the same solution this time also. Just to see if it holds.

Could just root a cut when you lolipop and self once it roots(assuming you strip the bottom 3rd before they start flowering)
