So if my peat, perlite&ewc mix is pretty dry slightly damp should it be good to water?
It feels cool and damp not really moist or wet just lightly damp , is this when I should be watering?

Also if I'm going to water with fish fert. Should I water untill slight runoff or just deep enough watering to reach the rootball with no run off

5% water to soil. So if your in a 20 gallon pot, water 1 gallon of water. If your in weeks 4-8 in bloom you may go up to 10%. Make sure to use a whetting agent with your peat mix.

For the wetting agent is it like the
"Coco-wet", tht helps the water disperse more evenly into the soil ?

yep. Dont know if Cocowet is organic or not, but organic sources would be aloe, saponin extract, yucca extract. Dawn dishsoap works as well. Just a drop or 2 in a couple gallons of water.

Add 1tsp. Dawn dish soap/ gallon of luke warm water. It's an organic wetting agent to the mix only.
Speaking of fish, what did the fish think when it hit a rock ?
DAM !!

I wouldn't water in huge volumes of fish fertilizer. It's pretty mild, and you can always mix up a light batch with just like half a teaspoon per gallon.

But if you pour a ton on, looking for run-off you can end up with a enough fish guts to cause problems in your soil. Like temporary swings in pH and lockout issues that yellow off your leaves.

I use like half as much fertilizer water as i would plain water.

I've never had a problem with fish emulsion or hydrolysate. 1/2 tsp per gal isn't much at all. I do 1-2 tsp per gal when I use it.

I don't understand what you're saying about runoff. I water my plants the same weather I'm using plain water or with fish fert or anything else.

But to answer the OPs question, with organics we really don't want runoff most of the time.
