I wouldn't put organophosphates on my crop. Have you considered trying diatomaceous earth?

This thread is a f@#$ing classic.
Just 15 or 20 minute pirate bugs, would clean that shit up in a week, but if you want to kill them all quick 1/16 vinegar/water dunks, get a 40 gallon barrel fill it with 32 gallons water, 2 gallons vinegar, flip the plant over, dunk them for 30 seconds, then air dry them with fans!

In other news, what's all this white stuff they drop everywhere? Some kind of frass, or is it the larval stage? Doesn't appear to be moving.

This is my greatest fear. I hope to use multiple sprayings of multiple chems targeting all parts of the life cycle. That and prayer. The fact there are multiple spiders in each plant gives me hope but I figure spraying will kill them too.
Posts like this give me hope. I have probably half the numbers after washing and spraying with soap. I think natural isn't going to fix this though..

No but had squishing works quick and you can kill 500 a minute but they are still everywhere. Yes, they were brought in with soil. Our frost out date is oct 7th so I brought in about 30 tropical plants for overwintering.
I might use it. Gonna need multiple techniques I think.
Edit: Also flipped my veg plants to flower today, fingers crossed.

Just wanted to say to ya, remember the look of those exoskeletons for the future. You can stop an outbreak if you spot some of the white exoskeletons on a plant, sometimes it will only be on 1 plant, in one small area, and you can nuke them on that plant kill them all, then treat the rest of the plants as preventative. If i get a plant with a single aphid, its red flag, high alert time!! 
Ive only had them in greenhouse work, never my personal indoor knock on wood lol!!!
Edit-- Ive read that the honeydew the aphids produce tastes great!! Which is absolutely disgusting that someone decided to find that out yuck!!!! haha never ever

Welp, here's an update in case it saves somebody some trouble. Stuck to the natural sprays, looked like the aphids were clear.. Nope. Came right back. Ended up trashing all the tropicals. The aphids moved to my houseplants. FML. Now over 2 months battling aphids. Easy to get rid of my ass.
Tldr: if you have a lot of aphids, save yourself the trouble and garbage everything. They will always come back when sprayed.

All of us have had aphids, they are probably the most common pest. They are also easy to deal with-you probably just ignored the problem for too long before addressing it. Next time try some IPM from the beginning, simple things like neem oil, sticky traps, etc. Try some nematodes in the soil once you start seeing aphids.

Or just spray them off outside with a hose or indoors in the shower. They came back because you never got rid of them. Citric acid would have killed them dead on contact.
Google "pesticide resistant aphids". The same goes for mites and other bad bugs. Indiscriminate overuse of pesticides has caused resistance to many pesticides. I really don't understand why so many continue to use expensive commercial products that may or may not work when a few pennies worth of citric acid will kill them on contact and they can't build up a resistance because the citric acid literally fries them.
