New ebb flow set up 4x8 tables hlg Led

So what I got planned and halfway purchased, is 4- 4x8 tables, lined up end to end, (due to narrow location), 2 hlg 600 rspec per table, hydro x and aqua x controller on wifi, CO2 generator and dehumidifier centrally located. For fans I was thinking of these wall mount oscillating fans I see at various hydro shops, one per table (do I need 2?). And I'm on the fence about light movers to move side to side 6". (I used a light meter I told one of y'all you had talked me into last week, today on one of my LEDs in veg room and was appalled at the hot spot center and weak sides).
Opinions ideas?

Did you not look at the ppfd chart HLG has prior to buying the lights? It clearly shows a hotspot in the centre.

I haven't purchased yet although I did agree to, sorta cause it's what local shop carries and I am trying to support local. I have some knock off lights from Amazon in a veg room and they are really hot in the center, those are the ones I shot with meter. But anyway, thoughts on movers? Just trying to even that hot spot out to the sides a little.

Not sure how you will miraculously move the hotspot from the centre to the sides with a mover?

Neither do I! Seems like hot spots is the reason they exist. Although it's entertaining reading all the kids that think they can run some giant room with a mover and a single light. I am starting to wonder if moving is really about resolving heat or trying to fix poor light pattern. Then again those kids with the xxxl reflectors seem to have really good luck.

Did you make sure your lights are PGR compliant prior to purchasing them?

I don't know? Maybe if I put Pgr on the light it will do better? Just like spray it straight on the diodes?
I mean hlg is American made, at least assembled.
Funny thing about pgr, I still think it would be interesting to try some 2x2s and see what controls vs experimental on clones would do with actual dry weight comparisons. But you guys smoking all the reefer too busy contemplating ethics or being assholes (which is weird cause every pothead I knew was super chill)... Meh. Where I come from it as always heavy ass ballasts and big hos bulbs, this led thing started as a scam and now they actually seem pretty legit. Sorry for asking a question about a mover offended you.

Personally I wouldn't mess with the mover. If you have the head room to have those 600s high enough I think you'll be fine. You can always run the lights turned down 25-30% which will increase the longevity too. Moving them 6" wouldn't be much. I also come from an HPS world, but am completely ready to switch to LED on my next room build. I've spent years watching the market and the grows develop and definitely think we are at a point that its the way so go. Personally when I do switch it will most likely be to a bar style light (maybe a strip build). When I do go to LED I want 100% canopy coverage because that feels like half the point of switching, instead of just having a central light source on the garden.

The more air flow you have the better...IMO...I have 7 fans in my room..3 wall mount...2 box fans and 2 pedestal fan...I want constant air flow at all levels ...I am not a fan of light movers...I ran them years ago...all tho they would move that hot spot around some....my advise would be to look into either the bar style lights or a DIY strip build....both will yield excellent results and the even coverage they provide will be hard to beat...Just my 2 cents worth...good luck to you.

Look at some of the LED 'bar' systems that these kids are all on about these days. Since the bars on many are longer, you get a wider spread and possibly more even light for your application without needing mechanics.

Though I love HLG stuff. What about the Scorpion Diablo lights?

I think those are some really nice lights. I'm getting the feeling coverage is more important than watts but that with dimmers more is definitely more.

Seriously, there are some 'bar systems' out there that you could have 4' coverage across your space. Would take care of hot spots and spread issues.
