I just bought a bunch of these on a whim to add some to my weaker flowering light then realized they are supposed to run at a much lower current than the qb's on the frame... I already ordered heatsinks for them too lol (on a side note, I was able to buy heat sinks for them from heatsink USA for cheaper than I was able to get flat aluminum at the hardware store here).
Are they going to provide much benefit if they are as far away as my qb's should be? Not sure if I drive the qbs that low if I will be pushing a decent amount of juice...
Planning on running it in a 3x3 tent.
I also read someone on this thread saying you should have an even number of lights? Kinda disappointing as 5 will fit pretty well in the middle of the frame, not sure if I can cram another on there.
Heatsinks just made it in the mail... guess I'll have to use self tapping screws for these...

Could adding a few 470nm strips (if I can find them) be advantageous? I see that's what the HLG b-spec boards use to supplement them.

Yes, 8 strips is a direct "T5 Replacement" at 700ma
No need for 470nm with Thrives. HLG only did that cause the Samsung chips they use have a poo poo spectrum and a certain Amare Shill Fanboy used to bust Stephens balls about the Cyan gap on the regular

Hey what’s up everyone. Been a minute. Have been trying to live real life instead of letting the Algorithm program me. Limiting my time on devices and getting excercise is highly recommended.
Can give a nice update tho, everything I’ve done under these lights is amazing. I’m still dialing in using this in a 2x3x5. Height limitation means I gotta pretty much flower 10 inch plants. Have pushed it 2x now and it’s super cropping chaos.
The lights are great tho. I love the tune ability. Nice to be able to push more blue during veg to keep stretchy strains as short as possible..
I have some Royal Kush in there now I’ll probably chop within the next couple weeks. Will update this thread then if I can find time.
