I thought it was pretty simple only added a pump and a cooler. Could it be because I accidentally broke a top off after the better looking pick?

your more wanting to hit around 66f to 72f the lower the temp the more oxygen that's in the water, nothing under 60 is advisable.

Exactly why I added the water cooler this run didn't want to chance it using hydroguard also probably the only thing that got me through last run

I agree with the others, don't mess with hydro until you're killing it in soil, then maybe try coco w/multiple feeds per day. After that you might have some success with hydro, but you probably will stick with soil/coco anyway. Good luck!

Thought I killed it last run

Pulled the bad plant. It was root rot not sure how it happened any insight would be appreciated I was using hydroguard and the water temp was correct

Use a sterilizing agent instead of hydrogaurd. Kill all the bacteria.

I use bleach. Lots of people use bleach. Never worry about water temps. No need for a chiller but it ain't a bad thing.
