Mosquito Bits during late Flower... Good, Bad?

I would really like to know about this too. Am having the same problem with fungus gnats. I use the Mosquito bits in veg but not sure if it's safe to use in flowering plants towards the end of flower. So because of only using in veg, I cannot get rid of these lil buggers! My yellow sticky cards are catching lots of them but I feel that I need to kill the larvae to really get the job done right!
Anyone with info on this or who has tried this please chime in and help a growmie out! Thanks!

No, it's not gonna add any flavor to the buds if you use it as a soil drench.

Hypoaspis miles and nematodes took care of my gnats a couple years ago. Mine just came from EWC, but I'm growing in soil.

Did the same, nematodes didn't do Jack. I did do the Mosquito Bits, I saturated the shit out of them pots with it, and a massive reduction followed suit, shit works. What helped even more was getting a oscillating fan under there to keep them from landing or moving around. Yellow traps gets them good too. I think I also lucked out with predator insects of these guys, found some little red centipedes in there too. The thing with Mosquito Bits is that it is organic and naturally found in the soil, can't be that bad for the ladies. Anyways I'm in middle of drying and probably be in cure for 2 to 3 weeks before really knowing for sure.

I've tried with mosquito bits. you shouldn't use them as a top dressing what I found works with them is to have them in a cloth of some sort sitting in the water your gonna treat them with. I never really used them IMHO I've used gnatrol with great success it's more of an ipm that I add into the soil every 2 weeks or so. I haven't done it in a while since I haven't seen anything whatsoever but I still need to ipm just in case.

my reasoning to not top-dress with them is it caused some type of mold to grow in my coco.

they won't affect your buds or taste whatsoever it's a bacteria that just sits in the roots or you can use it as a foliar against some types of caterpillars

I got wind that using Neem Seed Meal is great for deterring gnats away. tablespoon for a gallon of soil (when mixing up your soil amendments). Stuff smells nasty though. Anyways, giving it a shot with this next grow. Maybe top dressing with it could help ( shits smells nasty so don't top dress with much of it if you do).

well, the grow is done and I don't think I'll ever use that soil again, Vermisoil. Mix of peat moss and CoCo, something like that.

just be careful with the neem its usually pretty high in N but I think a lot of it is slow release, I could be wrong I just don't know what type of neem seed meal your using because there are 10 different products but a lot I've seen are more N than PK in the mixes.

What do you mean nasty. That shit taste like honey mustard pretzels!
Only works built into soil. And even then not sure about how it affects gnats.

the number one issue with gnats is watering practices. Most folks will preach the “dry out the soil” but in my opinion the opposite is needed. Consistent moisture levels will deter gnats, the biology in the soil really thrives on moisture and not great periods of drought. So by watering every few days gnats are just boosted in numbers.
their predators are stronger with daily watering but their food source will be diminished. Decomposing fungal matter is what’s their after. This fungal dominance really takes off in arrid to wet cycle soils.

more consistently moist soil will be slightly more bacterial dominant. Especially with the aid of earth worm castings top dress .

Hope so, this next grow will be organic with a cover crop (various clovers) during the grow. Gonna be interesting.
