I am hearing that there is a Turkey shortage though. Probably just made up to hike the price.
At ChefsStore they have whole chuck rolls for $3.99 lb, New York strip loins for $5.25 lb they were over $8 lb a month ago. $1.89 lb for spareribs. Whole boneless ribeye roast $10.25, they were over $15 lb a month ago.

our walmart used to have wright's bacon pack of ends and pieces that i loved. some would be pure meat and then others would be nothing but fat. haven't seen it there in months.

All this talk of bacon has me thinking I need to go get some pork belly and make some more. I think I'm down to one pack left in the freezer. But damn it's $4.29 lb. Last time I got some it was on sale for $1.99 I think. They go pretty fast at ChefsStore when they get them in so I have to check in throughout the week. There is more to pork belly than just bacon. It's used for a kinds of Asian cuisine so there's a lot of demand for it.
