If your water is supplied by a town/city you should be able to either see their water analysis reports online or call for a free copy to be emailed to you.Thanks for all the replies... what I'm curious about is how to figure out what's in the water? Do you just go to government site and trust thier word or is there an at home test or something?

I have heard of floats failing - so far I have not had any problems. Work great.

What's crazy about a filter? I just have the filter on the side of the furnace, the condensate discharge from the furnace goes through the filter and drips into a bucket. I get something like 2-6 gallons per day depending on how much the furnace runs. I use it mostly for my humidifiers.That sounds like a crazy process... got any docs for easy setups? I'm doing hydro. I'm growing in coco and straight in water
