I have 16 plants that need to get watered everyday in coco. 2-3 times a day would be better. I've been looking at the orbit 8 port manifold but just not sure what pump to run it off cus it needs a riser and I have a 55 gallon res. gonna need 2 manifolds. seems like it wouldn't work with a submers pump all the way down

I'm also researching a solution to a situation like yours. Need a nutrient/water tank, drip line, emitters/drippers and timer and pumps.

Will you be needing aeration for your set up?

This is the manifold I pre built just to test out out the orbit manifolds. risers go in the threads. Would this work? just gonna have 3/4in tubing go to the elbow from pump

Does your DIG manifold release same amount of water each site? or do you have to have same length tube for every pot?
i have the 6 site adjustable one. i just run them wide open. but to be safe, i did cut all the tubing the same length.

and i found out that you need to leave 1 of the valves open (no tubing) and that will stop it from siphoning.

0.76" drip line from CHAPIN WATERMATIC now called JAIN I think ? is cheap and works excellent. it is self sealing
.all you do is cut 2 or 3' length and it runs at 160 ml per minute each line. I use 1 line oer 1 gallon of pot size
so 4 dripper in a 4 gallon container. 2500 ' line is 100$ . stakes are 25 cents. they plumb into 1/2 " rubber line .

Open flow feeding example using aquarium manifold. Manual flow control.

Using a timer that goes down to the second.
And You can adjust the timer to suit and get the perfect amount of run off?

I am hand watering at the minute and having to move plants every other day to empty trays amd so on....

I have just purchased 2 of these trays and next i wana set up a feed like yours ona timer... i just need to calculate what size pump and if a timer that goes goes to minutes would be suitable

Yes using inline valves.

Valve between pump and manifolds. Allows me to shutoff or regulate volume going to the manifolds.

Valve on each manifold output allows adjustment for individual feed lines.

Bigger pumps provide more pressure. More pressure helps equalize flow. Too little sucks.

It does take some fiddling and adjusting to get the optimum feedings. Zero clogging.

Keep tray drainage in mind.
Those look nice.

I use elevators under my pots and prefer a smoother tray bottom.
When drained does not leave much liquid in the tray.
