I use 6500k for grow and 3500k for flowerIt’d work for veg, 6000k is not a great spectrum for flowering though. If you can’t swing led right now you can get a 600w hps/mh kit for like $120.
Solid adviceI get being broke/cheap but even building an led for 4x4 is gonna run a couple hundred bucks. There are great budget options for 400w-500w dimmable leds in 3000k/3500k but they’re still in the $300-500 range. Don’t spend good money after bad you’ll just end up having to spend more in the long run.
Nice one emerson61, I have been designing my new flower light, 2.4m x 1.1m flower room split in two, one side a 600w hps and the other side a home made 400w led ( going to cost about £150 all in).FYI…First week of flower with my new set up of 2 Sayhon (not Phlizon- my error) 2000 watt LED boards with IR, UV, quality heat sink design and a dimmer as well… only 33 days of veg from seed, check out the 18”+ canopy. I also use a G8 red and another red for flower. With all of this light, temps never above 82.
lights may have been “cheap” but results are pretty amazing so far in this, my 8th indoor grow. Running three Cookies, 2 platinum cookies and 2 GDP. Seedbank seeds…
