spots on leaves, check feed and ph of medium
Yeh she had heavy Calcium deficiency. The pH was below 6 and I had to flush her a couple weeks ago. The fan leaves are starting to yellow out too. Everything I read says in the final couple weeks the fan leaves will start to yellow. The orange brown spots were Calcium issues.
Basically what happened I was using Dr Earth Organic feeding schedule and I used the 1-1-1 Pot of Gold for the one feeding week.
It was 3.2 pH when I mixed it and took 32 ml of pH up to get it to 6.7. (I use Potassium BiCarbonate to pH up my nute mix now. It works very well. I got it to 1 tsp and my nute mix is 6.8pH.) I put 2 cups on 3 of the plants and 1 cup on that WW Auto.
I forgot to label the seeds when I germd so I had no idea which were the 2 skunk photos or the 2 WW Autos so I had to wait till the 2 flowered to tell.
What happened was Nitrogen tox on all the plants. They got nice dark green and some leaves clawed. The skunks handled it better than the autos. But the one Auto is bigger she is 37" and different phenotype then this one which is ruderalis candlestick which got only 21" tall.
So I stopped feeding them for like 3 weeks. I just gave them straight pH 6.8 tap water. 177 ppm
All 4 plants have the brown spots. So they all are getting Ca deficiency in flower. The skunks just started showing them in week 4-5 of flower.
I used 1/3 FFOF and 2/3 FFHF amended with additional EWC when transplanted. Also on transplant top dressed Dr Earth Tomato Veg Herb and additional EWC. I was just following Dr Earths Organic Cannabis Feeding schedule.
Now Im using Fox Farm Bloom nutes and Calmag due to the Ca deficiency. Im keeping an eye on any further spotting for now. It should stop now. Last 2 feeds I used 5 ml/gal of Calmag.
Its my fault I forgot to add dolomite lime to the Fox Farm soil when I prepped the fabric pots. Although the Dr Earth Organic dry nutes had 7% Ca.
So maybe it was pH lockout since I didnt buffer the soil with the Dol Lime.
It still seems Im going to get a nice harvest so far. The one super skunk she is flowering very nice and the piney smell is off the charts. SO strong the big AC infinity Carbon filter is not killing all of the smell.
