Never seen and outside house spigot come from a different source. Maybe the hose has and affect on it but it's the same source of water is it not?

If they have a whole home water filtration system it will be different since the inside water will be chemically altered. The outside faucets aren't usually connected in that system.

Ok that makes sense. I put mine right on the main supply so all but one spigot in front is filtered but I did it that way intentionally and have easy access to water line
