Must have been smoking some boof. Real GG4 smells and tastes like coffee and chocolate. Real diesel always had more of a skunk/funk.

Im guessing it got its name from the lineage. Maybe a grease monkey x mendo breath? I can only assume.

Nah not gg4. Gorilla glue the original. Smells, feels and taste like glue. And diesel is a nasty strain no matter what you want to call it. Point still stands, 2 nasty tasting strains are going to produce nasty offspring

some do and some don't...terpenes are very volatile, the first hit may have a lot of the same flavor as aroma, the second a lot less, by the third you may be into totally different terpenes that are less volatile and have a totally different flavor

And how did the name Grease Monkey and Mendo Breath come to be? They were just made up as well.

It's like they're marketing to children with all the cartoon packaging and silly names.

I have never excellent tasting shitty smelling bud. May have got me high but my nose told me pretty much what it was from the go

I've had strains that smell great and taste like shit.
Ive had some that had low fragrants but deliver on taste.

No shit. I don't know, i never named any strain.

I'm guessing grease monkey is a greasier strain and mendo breath came from the Mendocino area.

Real talk, what does pot smell like to the average person? Skunk. Always skunky with this or that undertone.

You can only call so many skunk or we would have sunk # 46546846546549687987 by now.

There's some odddball names but I suppose they have to be catorgized or its like you said...we end up with a million and one "skunks" and no way to disern them from each other.
