Trying to get this little lady to stretch more, 5 weeks in from planting

I’ve seen this before where you tie up your top nodes and expose the bottom. All that’s going to do is make her bushier. she looks good! Can I ask why you want her to stretch?
Honestly still new to the whole thing. Just figured she'd be taller. But if that looks like the right height for a 5 week old plant then I guess I'm good lol

Yeah, that's why I tied it up top. The leaves were so big and burying the rest of the plant. But once I started tied up the top, the bottom went nuts and started stretching out

It's an indica so that's normal sort of to be squat and bushy...sativas are a little more leggy. Stretch happens during flower as some have mentioned but if you really really wanted to get an indica to stretch out you'd change to a red spectrum light and weaken its intensity for a short time. Not worth it, better to advance ur canopy skills.

The strain is granddaddy purple. Don't know if this helps but I have it under a mars sp250 and a viparspectra p2500. BTW thanks for the info

I agree with mud balls! Your plants look good. I would just work on more lst and topping on your next grow, and the next grow, and the next grow. We’re all always learning. I top twice sometimes 3 times, anymore than that I notice the buds shrink a good bit in size compared to only being topped three times and lots of lst, open them babies up then your scrog will really work its magic.

Yeah those lights will work just fine for that area. 4’x4’ right? I have a couple and I mean like 8 different grow lights I’ve tried that I thought just weren’t intense enough. Now I run a hlg 650 rspec, 18 barinna light bars and 2 sunraise 1000w to cover a 5’x10’ scrog. I just make sure I have even light intensity across so I judge everything off my brightest light that being the hlg I don’t grow In a tent so not a lot of side reflection

Those Sunraise aren't 1000 watts.
