28$ an ounce? I have a friend out that way and he’s talking about paying a hell of a lot more than 28$ an ounce. He’s paying that at most dispensary for an 1/8 of top shelf. Here in Ohio it’s very high priced at dispensary and black market is booming. They charge over 50$ for a 1/10th of an ounce. LolYou ain't moving nothing where I'm at. You can give it away but with all the dispensaries here in Portland the black market is dead. Most people don't care about all this tops shelf stuff people on the forums think they're growing. They can go down to a dispensary and choose from dozens of choices. $1 grams and $28 ounces. They can spend $25 and go home with half a dozen different kinds of weed.
This is a screenshot as an example of the deals they have at dispensaries around here. And before anyone starts going on about mids and all that you need to realize that mids are good enough for the vast majority of tokers out there. They'll pay $28 for an ounce of mids before they'll pay $150 an ounce for this "Top Shelf" stuff that only cannabis snobs on cannabis forums care about. That's the way it is.
Just a few buds on a plate would be a nice pic to see the quality of what people are sitting on. Im just not believing that super quality is sitting.ill show you 50 different pounds out here what people are sitting on. nobody out here is really selling anything.
I said this wasn't what many would call Top Shelf but it's good enough for most average cannabis smokers. There is also a big difference in price between some of the smaller dispensaries and the larger more corporate ones with multiple locations. The smaller ones have better prices.28$ an ounce? @newbplantgrower420@xtsho can you touch base on this?
Only thing available I could find here is the super shock at 65%@newbplantgrower420
That can be complicated due to the different percentages of sodium hypochlorite in different bleaches. A generic unscented bleach is what should be used. Clorox seems to have changed their original formula and have added some new Cloromax technology. I don't know exactly what that is but it doesn't sound like something I would use. There are generic brands that are just sodium hypochlorite.
You want around 3-4 ppm in the solution and that's going to depend on the concentration in the bleach being used which can range in percentage. The best way to get to the target ppm is to use a dilution calculator and enter the correct parameters for the calculation.
Here's an online one that makes it easy.

Most people these days using chlorine for running a sterile reservoir are using calcium hypochlorite "Pool Shock" rather than sodium hypochlorite "Bleach". Both will work. Bleach can be found at any grocery store so may be easier to get but pool shock is available online. The main thing is to get something unscented and without other additives. Many of the products have stuff you don't want. You can get lab grade 5% sodium hypochlorite on Amazon.
If using Pool Shock you also need to get just the basic one as there are varieties that may contain unwanted additives.
I don't have the need to use either anymore. I don't run a recirculating system or DWC and likely never will again. I know many people do DWC but I think it's more of a hassle than it's worth when coco is easier and gives pretty much the same results as far as growth is concerned. And you don't have to worry about root issues, running airstones, changing buckets, etc...Only thing available I could find here is the super shock at 65%

Ah, sorry man. You asked me about this a couple of weeks ago, but I thought you were criticizing me for using bleach, so I gave you a short answer. I can’t remember how much because I haven’t used it since. Only because it slipped my mind. It didn’t harm my plants whatsoever.Only thing available I could find here is the super shock at 65%

Might need to look into getting a license (distributor/non-retail store front). Might be worth it.btw you use plain chlorox bleach right? i tried pool shock these past few runs... wasnt a fan. i want to try your bleach method next time. what ml/gal have you found success with and how often do you dose?
