My First Grow. 4 Plants

Hello Everybody, I'm pretty new here. I really like reading all of your grow journals and thought I would post my own.

Right now I have 4 master kush plants that are about 10 days old (+1 or 2 if you count germination). They're under 4 26w and 2 23w daylight CLFs on a 18/6 light cycle.

Pic 1 is of #1 the first day it spouted
Pics 2 and 3 are of #1 at 1 week

Pic 4 is #2 at a week. #2 Is growing slower than the rest and it's new leaves look a different than the others. They seem a lot wider and are a darker green than the rest. Is this a normal thing?

Pics 5 and 6 are of #3 (My big girl!)

Pics 6 and 8 are of #4

#3 and #4 are a little bigger than #1 and #2

Any Comments, Questions, Suggestions?

they all look great - don't worry about small variations.

your medium looks like straight soil so you should think about adding perlite when you transplant.

Yeah it's pretty much strait soil, I just bought the store's brand of potting soil from a local nursery.

How much perlite should I add to the soil? I've got a bag of it but did not add any because it drained pretty well.

25% i think... a good idea would to be to look at some sites and see what their percentage is

This morning, just before I left for work, I checked on my babies. Everything looked good then I saw my temp, 108f. Holy fuck I was scared, I was sure they were cooked and my first grow was already done in less than 2 weeks! It looked like my pup had chewed threw my fans' power cord :wall: and with no circulation the temps quickly rose. With max quickness I fixed the wire and got the fans up and running again. Luckily I caught it early and I think there was no damage, but I'm not really sure what to look for.

I'll post some pics later, I'm way too comfy to get up and grab my camera right now.

It has been two weeks now since I planted the seeds. #1,3,4 are doing good and I can't see any problems with them, but #2 is still looking a little funky. #2 started to lean over earlier this week and now looks like it's been trained or something, I'm not really sure what's going on with it.

I noticed that the original sprout leaves had been turning a pale green the last few days, but today one of #4's started turning brown on the tip. I'm not sure what this means or if I should be worried (I expected those leaves to fall off sometime). Any Thoughts?

Well, my plants are still alive and looking awesome. Early this week I noticed some roots coming out of their pots so I transplanted them into 2 gallon grow bags. I think I may have been a little rough with them, exspecally #1 :-?, because they didn't grow at all for a day or so (not sure if that's normal).

I also started using nutes this week. I bought some Alaskan Fish Fertilizer, the stinky stuff, (5-1-1) and fed them with a 1/4 mix.

I think they liked the combination of nutes and transplanting because they had some great growth this week. All of them started growing branches with their own nodes and there's noticable growth each day. I didn't really notice how much they grew until I looked at last week's pictures, been home most of the week and have been checking on the girls quite a bit.

I topped #1 and #3 just for shitz n' gigglz a few days ago, they seem to be doing good.

My gif bought me a 150w hps so I put #2 and #4 under it. #2 is doing really good under it and has had the most new growth. #1 and #3 are still under cfl's.

I not sure how long I'm going to veg, at least long enough to take some clones. I was thinking about waiting until they show sex and SCROGing them or doing some lst.

My babies are still looking good a keep on getting bigger! #2 and #4 have grown the most and I think have started showing pre-flowers, but I'm not sure and could be wrong, pictures attached. The "pre-flower" on number #2 looks like a little ball and #4's looks almond shaped. I'm not really sure what to look for so any help is much appreciated.

#1 and #3 are still under CFLs and have grown quite a bit but haven't gotten much taller. #3 seems like its growing too many nodes to close together and the leaves don't have much room to grow.

I also to see what you guys thought of Alaska Morebloom (0-10-10) fertilizer for flower. I saw it at the store the other day, it's pretty cheap but I don't know if zero N is okay.

I'll be updating my journal more often when my plants are sexed. I'm gonna try a lil' bit O' scrog and cloning.

#2 started growing more balls so I chopped it :sad: and moved #3 under the HPS with #4. I also put a screen over #3 and #4 and have started training them.

I'm probably going to start flowering in about a week or two, depending on how long it takes to fill up most of the screen. I'm taking a chance SCROGing #3 because it hasn't shown any signs of sex but I'm not to worried, it's just going to be a little more work and a smaller yield if it turns out to be male.

#1 is still under cfls, i'm going to take clones from it and then sex the clones. if it's a female, i'm going to keep it as a mother so I don't have to worry about SCROGing from seed.

No pictures this week. I lent my camera to my bro.

When I was training #1 and #4 under the screen today I noticed #1 has some pistils, BOOSH! I took some quick pics of #1's and #4's preflowers and thought I would post em' up.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been busy with school and work.

I switched #1 and #4 to 12/12 on Christmas after ~24hrs of complete darkness. I've also been training them under the screen since week 4 or 5. I almost filled the screen, there are just 2 small spots (one up front and the other in the back right corner) left empty. I'm pretty happy with how everything has turned out so far, next time I'll veg for a little longer to make sure my screen is full.

On Saturday I built a DWC cloner, from this (https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/103903-best-diy-ez-walmart-dwc.html) thread, and loaded it up; 5 clones from #3 and 1 clone from #1. I've never cloned a plant before and am excited to see the results.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome

Everything has been going well since my last update, it almost seems like everything is on autopilot.

Right after my last post I was able to fill the small gap in front of my screen but I was not able to fill the gap in the back right corner. I also added 2-13w UVB 10.0 bulbs in addition to the 150w hps. Since adding the UVB lights, the buds have gotten very frosty.:weed:

I'm not sure about when to start flushing. I was thinking about feeding for about 2 more weeks and then flushing for about 2 weeks. Does this sound about right? I'm not sure how long master kush will flower.

Not much has changed since my last post. The buds are fattening up, getting sticky and they're starting to have lemony/citrus smell, I love it and it's driving me crazy.

I trimmed a few fan leaves to get some light to the smaller buds, but that's about all I've done other than watering.:leaf:

The buds are starting to fatten up and look awesome. The hairs are starting to turn orange, there are a few that have turned purple, so I'm going to start flushing later this week. Other than that, not much has changed :bigjoint:Hopefully I'll have a bountiful harvest in the next few weeks.
