Half the price an gee wiz it dims! IT also folds the Gavita is very cheaply made when compared side by side to many bar lights.

I wouldnt trust those rachets i put a safty chain on mine.

@thumper60 ,love the tip about safety, but i have to ask, do you run your lights stationary as in fixed height? You said don't trust the ratchets so I figure take the ratchet out of the equation obviously if its the weak link. Mom might not of called me sonny cause I was bright but this is what I came up with,ceiling eye lag to the carabiner on the light yoke. Am I wrong or will this be impossible if I want to adjust my lights? Really dont want 3 ft of chain to deal with.

Maybe i took chain too literal . Think I'll figure out the lowest height I'll have my lights and just direct tie with paracord. Theat should be easier to deal with and never hit floor or plants. That sound about right

I use 1in chain move by hand i have seen the ratchets slip when trying to ajust height

Oh I see, you eliminate the ratchets all together. Think I’ll try the paracord that way I won’t lose the simplicity of the ratchets. Thanks again

Fwiw they are metal geared
Edit: I honestly think my clumsy ass is more likely to drop it adjusting that setup than a ratchet failure but I do like the idea of a safety

No step ladder, i grow on a table no bending over plants are 36-42 inch when done I used the ratchets to hang the light then put chains on. with the e 720 not much moving with the dimmer.

That setup looks mint.

I thought I would be adjusting my HLG 350 in my tent, but I set it at the top and haven't touched it. If this is a flower only room, you have a separate veg space, and running the same genetics, then you should be able to set the height and leave it, I would think.

Unfortunately it’s not in my case . This , at least for awhile, is my only space and will have to be a full cycle use for now . My tent doesn’t fit height wise but I may consider purchasing one down the road that does to veg or clone which is something I’m interested in learning

How much headroom you working with? I have been thinking rip out the table gain 2 ft but then iam bending over to tend lov my table older i get.

Not alot ,64" to floor leaving 16 betwren ligjt and ceiling . Ceiling height is low 6'9

Thats the other thing i dont like about ratchets, with a chain an s hooks i can get mine 4 inchs from the ceiling I got same height as you 64in i ran 1khps for yrs like this 4 week veg top twice no problem changing to led i gained 6inch no more bulky hood thats a extra week of veg.
