There's really not much difference other than they flower based on genetics not light schedule.
You'll see a lot of issues in pictures and it's mostly from new or bad growers who wouldn't be able to keep a photo healthy either.
Then people come up with ridiculous claims claiming they require special care. It's a plant.

320g of coffee grounds @ 0.34g/cm3 density = 63.65 tablespoons
63.65 tablespoons = 31.825 fluid ounces

Are we talking UK or US fluid ounces?
16 US fl oz = 0.473 litres (473 ml)
16 UK fl oz = 0.455 litres (455 ml)
18 US fl oz = 0.532 litres (532 ml)
18 UK fl oz = 0.511 litres (511 ml)
Anyhow, I have started germinating some beans, and will use a 16 US fl oz (473 ml) red solo cup

I'm in Canada....and when it comes to volumes, we are all fucked up because we had used Imperial UK standards but most of us didn't even realize that UK fluid ounces are not the same volume as US fl oz
Ask a Canadian how many fluid ounces in a UK pint and we would say 16, but actually there are 20 UK fl oz
Thank goodness for metric which is the same everywhere

I'm shutting down my 4x4 tent, so I'll grow these in a closet under a whopping 19 watt LED grow light, and maybe a few CFL and/or LED bulbs but will use sunshine when available (which is not much during the winter).
I wasn't going to grow anything for a few months but this solo cup challenge is just the excuse I need to grow something

Well in Canada their disabled veterans get medical marijuana sent from the government to their house. Here in the US I had to wait 52 fucking years for my government to deem it acceptable for me to grow 4 plants after they fucking crippled me so yes, 1st world problems.

What an asshole whoever came up with that plant count limit. The word is, we are supposed to be allowed 6 mature + 6 young plants per adult in my state, whenever they get around doing it.

I might join in. It will be in a 16 FLUID oz Energy Drink can, cause I'm not going and buying cups 
also, i think another rule needes to be added. Everyone knows you can grow monsters in tiny pots using coco and air, so i propose all roots need to stay in the SINGLE cup and no external reservoir setups for mnin hydro systems as this is 10x unfair advantage and not the fun of a single cup grow for fun.

Yeah, I don't want to get the thread too far off topic but it sucks mainly because I want to grow for other people as a kind of caregiver type of thing. In DC, where I am from they have a 3 mature plant and 3 immature plant count rule. That's where all my friends and family grow. Not everybody has the time and situation to do their own growing so I wanted to be able to donate bud to friends that can't. The extra plants would let me grow meds for my needs and take care of other vets too. Being legal at all is a big step in the right direction, they just need to get the legislation in line with real world growing and medical needs. Sorry to derail the contest guys.
