My fan is louder than my ventilation!

They more spray the air than blow it directly. Theirs no air blowing directly in front of them.
I got 3+ years on them and they are very quiet when turned down a bit. Whitch they still move lots of air. Cranked up the air moving is loud.

im pretty sure one of them could run a air hockey table. 2 would be lots for a 4x4. Maybe even 5x5.View attachment 5048200

Clip on fans are a PITA. I grow in a loft and attaching them to the frame of the tent causes the vibrations to be amplified. I have found that is you remove the clip, loop a zip tie through the bolt hole and hang them from the zip tie with a pair of ratchet hangers in a V it reduces the vibrations to almost nothing and they are a lot quieter.

Unfortunately i've only tested the fans holding it with my hand, so the noise is from the airflow and the engine, not vibrations. Thanks for input though

My noise is from the airflow and motor too, that is what is making the vibrations, that is exactly what sound waves are.

Your hand won't absorb the vibrations which makes it sound louder as they are reverberated back through the motor and body of the fan. Hang one in a V, the sound waves dissipate along the length of each cord. Be sure to use woven cords, the more strands in the cords there are the greater the reduction in sound will be.

I have been plagued with noisy fans for years. Growing in a loft means you can here every sound at night. I have a mate, who is a Physics Teacher, that suggested this method and it works. This method also has the approval of my Wife.

It worked in my situation. I had a constant droning from the loft right above our bed. Did that, no more droning.
