How to fit ventilaton, filter and silencer in a 120x60x180 / 4x2x6' tent?

All the components for my grow tent have finally arrived!

I’m not completely sure how to place the filter, ventilaton (called fan in the pictures) and silencer inside my 120x60x180 cm / 40x20x60” tent. They can’t fit in a straight line so Ill have to be a bit creative. Im thinking of placing the filter in one of the shorter sides and the fan + silencer on the longer side. See image. (Note: top down view)
Alternatively, could I place the filter below the fan and silencer? See image 2. (Note: side view)

I would REALLY prefer to have all components inside of the tent, but if necessary I guess I could live with either the silencer or filter being placed outside (not the ventilation because of noise).

How would you do it? All suggestions are much appreciated!

Option 1 looks less restrictive. I however am doing your second option I have my carbon stacked on top of the fan with a 90* bend Air still moves fine IMO.
My concern with the second option is whether it leaves enough space for lights and plants. Whats your experience in this regards?

Current light is a single QB board so no interference with the stacked filter and carbon. No silencer on mine Wouldn’t fit in 3x3.. the 2’ depth you have could interfere with your light(s) depending

I would do fan and filter inline then the duct silencer out of tent.
but honestly I wouldn’t use the silencer. 6” fan running super low will cool that tent just fine. And be very quiet

Yeah I don’t really hear the fan per say even on speed 4 or 5. You’ll hear the air being moved though from the exhaust end
6” AC in-line

I'm actually smiling ear to ear right now, but I know the issue...

My fan + silencers BARELY fit in a straight inside the tent, the filter sits at 90° pointing towards the corner at the back.
Ventilator is inside pulling air from the inlets and pushing it towards the backside where the filter picks it up.

I agree with xtsho, for my next build I'm planning to have exactly that.
The fan outside and in a insulated box, pulling from the top.

I have 2x4 and im finishing setting up silencer with boxed ac infinity (for me they vibrate and make some motor noise) and filter. I just hang 2/3 of the silencer in the box, 1/3 is outside - i use 2 straps to support part thats inside. Thats how i v been able to fit everything in a straight line. But my carbon filter is only 30 cm. So 30 cm of silencer inside+ 42 cm of box with fan + ~15cm sono duct + 30 carbon filter. In my opinion its better to put silencer outside as it already absorbs some of the sound vs carbon filter which makes noise from sucking/pushing air through large surface of small holes (carbon)

I have my fan and filter in my attic. I pull the air from my tent, and exhaust thru the filter, into the attic. I have another fan to vent my attic to the outside. So no fan and filter in my tent.

You will really be cramped for space if you try to fit all that in there. I would only have the filter in the tent (after flower started) and have the fan and silencer on the outside like other folks mentioned. I don't think you will have a noise problem with that size space and need the silencer. I like to keep the least amount of stuff inside the tent as possible--leave that for the plants

I think thats another great option, you can wrap/cover fan even with some blanket to reduce noise from fan and motor sitting outside. Plus having only carbon filter inside you can place it in the middle of tent so you can intake passive from both ends of the tent.

Tried blankets but when the motor is vibrating, it doesn't do anything, really.
I wrapped some ArmaFlex around it pretty thick one, I'm at 50db with the phone an inch next to it.
Pretty sure an insulated box is much better.

Edit: I also fancy one of these:

640$ would be a bit much tho :D

On what level you run your infinity in this 2x4 ? I just tested and my inf 6 on level 4 with box and silencer gave me 40db with phone measurement. Without box i had ~50db on level 5 (around 44 on 4 but i dont remember exactly). Every curve of duct will reduce cfm and the air battling those and every bump inside will make more noise, plus with cfm drop people have to run their fans on higher settings

How do you guys put silencers or other part of equpiment outside ? My gorilla tent is 210 cm high so i would have to build some stand for silencer to be on that level lol
