Im kind of embarrassed to say that I read somewhere to try Epson salt for mag deficiency, I think I over did it with the salts but only used it as a foliage spray. (how we learn)

I won't do that again! I noticed a few days later there was salt buildup on the leaves, I don't think its PM because it was after I did the foliage spray.

I try to use store bought spring waters, however sometimes I may use tap

100 milliliters? Underwater is more likely. How many gallons is the container? Medium in it?

So the plants are 32 days old from seed (regular not fem)
I started them in rooter cubes and once the established roots I put them into 3 gallons to minimize transplant stress.
they are on week 2 (Day 9) of veg.

Medium is fox farm and happy frog 50/50 mixed.

I don’t mean to hijack the thread but your question hit a nerve. I have very hard water.....but it’s ph isn’t crazy high (around 7.1) and the PPM is 140’s.
The humidity here is very low this time of year and I have to run 2 humidifiers just to get the RH up into the 40s...which is fine for me now as I’m in mid flower and don’t want higher levels. I noticed a white, almost powdery film on the side of my Mylar foil all around the small room. I took a wet towel and wiped it off for the most part, but I couldn’t figure out what the hell it was or where it came from. Then your question made me realize I’ve been running straight tap water in my humidifiers. Am I right in thinking it’s coming from the hard water?? Better yet, am I none the wiser for learning this?

its okay! I keep It humble and don't freak out at users who jack a thread. it may answer a future question I have.

Are you feeding? A 3 gallon container should use about 3 quarts of water and in your case no nutrients. Assuming you forgot naming the Ocean Forest in your mix. Learn to water by weight.

Same water I have just a little more ppms 190 ish.It will definitely plug up humidifier,I just use a pail with a towel hanging in it and a fan.Even an airstone.

Ok so what you,re seeing is from the epsom,I do it to.Maybe add one drop dish soap next time as a surfactant.
