Aussie Growers Thread

Hey folks merry christmas! I was wondering when do we start flowering in the southern states, I thought it would be once the hours drop off a bit more but it seems like we are preflowering now?
Being in Northern NSW, I've also noticed pre-flowering in the past week. This is 2-3 weeks earlier than last year. Being an outside grow and the days duller than last year, I'm guessing the plants are reacting as if we have 12-13 hour days instead of the 14h 10m ones the bureau of meteorology is saying we get sun up to sun down.
I'd prefer a few weeks more in veg as I can see the lower stems are less thick than the two I grew last year. Perhaps they'll pile on bulk in the so-called stretch period.

4-5 weeks to go mate buds are not mature yet and not sure if it’s the picture but looks like you could have mold issues. Without knowing strain and feed schedule it makes it hard to give advice on what else to give them.

Mold circled red, maybe the angle but concentrate on your humidity, temps and airflow. Not so much on what extra to feed them

Love the name, Terry Teacosy is very Young Ones.
How about "Terry goes crazy-ape-bonkers with para-cord & sex", followed by "String-lines with the headless corpse of the Virgin astronaut"?;)

'Managed to get a wriggle-on building the new greenhouse after a 3-day binge of CBF.
'Had to reconfigure the frame due to nebulous Chinese-English instructions:cuss:
DSCN3119.JPG

Frame is now square (to within thumb), but the aluminium saddles & pegs provided to hold it down are absolute crap & wouldn't survive next winter, so an early-morning dash to the nearest Bunnings is in order tomorrow to get some decent steel ones. Next few days are gonna be in the mid-high 30's, so I need to get stuff done early.

Pallet in the background is where the 1000L IBC is going on a stack of pallets with a low-pressure timer to deliver watering.

I COULD provide mains power to this site if I wanted to, but figured KISS & see how it goes.

Personally I’d just find some lengths of reo and bend your own pegs so you can make them longer on both legs

I'm not that handy. I can get steel saddles from work as freebies, but won't be back at work for a couple of weeks yet & want to get this project sorted.

There's only a few bucks in it & I'll have it sorted-out way before then.

Cut star pickets into 4 they have the holes already to wire the frame to. Definitely run the mains if you can, can run fans then...imo
