Plant leaves Yellowing

First time growing. I am using 50% ocean forest and 50% happy frog. 2 and half weeks after planting in soil, some of my plants are showing yellowing and leaves are drooping. Could this be a cal mag deficiency? or is this a nitrogen deficiency?

I did let it dry out 2 days ago because I had to go out of town. I water it last night.

I was thinking about waiting a little longer for them to be bigger before transplanting since they are just 2 and half week old. Just didn't want to shock the plants at an early stage.

They are getting shocked now with not enough space for roots to spread and. It enough available N

Also a transplant does not need to have any stress. Simple pre water the new containers, bury a “dummy” hole with the same square inserts they are in now. At transplant just pull the dummy from moist fresh soil ( it should hold is firm) and put your square rootball in without any stress

Okay, I will transfer them and see how they perform.

They ate all the food in that soil cup. Ready to move from that tray to a pot now.

Also, we dont need Calmag in soil.

What nutrients will you be using? What pot size? Ocean Forest > Happy Frog IMO, OF has more amendments we want. Can add some Azomite to the HF and that will improve it.

I plan to make these mother plants and make clones out of them. I plan to use a 3 gallon pot. The only reason I mix OF and HF is I heard OF being hot. For the new pot, I was thinking of maybe going 70/30 on OF and HF and also add 20% worm casting. Would this be enough food for them until i start taking clones off of them? Or should I also add some 4-4-4 all purpose organic fertz too?

I would plant those a little deeper when they move in to the new soil. And I would just use the ocean forest. You can add some worm castings and perlite if you like. But mixing the two mediums is not necessary.
Also, move your light closer. They are stretching too much.

IME, OF has never burned a plant by itself. HF is ok, just has less amendments, take a look at the labels when you have a chance. I'd imagine Fox Farms use's the same base for both soil types.

If going to use as mothers, probably ok to save those worm castings since that is P and we wont need much P if not flowering. Well balanced nutrients is all your mothers will need, so the 4-4-4 is likely the right move here.
