The reason is you've never checked ph runoff before, now your worried.Forget that you did that lol.Just plain water is fine.Dont flush shit that will cause problems.

Next time you would want to mix lime or something into the soil. I'd guess from the bag being wet the oyster shell dissolved and when you watered all the oyster shell came out of the soil. I'm not sure what the fix now might be there is a product called liquid lime that I've never tried. You need something to buffer the ph in soil.

I stopped using happy frog because of this issue, now I do drain to waste hydroponics in 100% coco

Hopefully it will be fine once I repot. Ya I dont get it. I never know how to fix the ph issue either. If you use lemon juice people say it doesn't last long enough, if you use ph up or down, people say that can be to strong and can end up staying in the soil for long periods. Idk thats still something I'm working on.

I'd plan on repotting asap.
If using more happy frog, mix lime in per instructions of the dolomite lime instructions. When transplanting shake off a bunch of the old soil if possible, you can mix that into your new mix as to not waste it. The dolomite lime should fix the pH issue and buffer your pH. Others are doing 50/50 fox farms ocean forest mixed with happy frog. Id guess this helps because ffof has no oyster shell in it for buffer and only uses lime. If you properly buffer your soil like this you will not need to monitor your pH for th whole grow

Maybe he splashed water from the soil onto his plant and the soil might contain spores? It does look like pm.
Idk it doesn't look like mold either. It never spread either to other plants. So idk. Thats the one thing I despise about growing, always problems . As soon as you figured it out, something else goes wrong
