Of course they do.

There are hundreds of threads with thousands and thousands of grow posts across multiple forms of media that continually show this.
And a perfect example would be GG4.

Now I'm not saying every grower has the skill to bring a plant to full potential (chems and diesels are certainly not for a beginner) but there should very little nuances between those cultivars. The biggest variance would due to light spectrum.
I have seen loads of threads over the years and lots of different grow rooms, setups, etc
Often growers have a set way of growing and it doesn't seem to matter, what they grow, the results seem very similar.
The environment, lights, the way the grower trains his plants and the veg time will make a massive difference.
An untrained plant in a poor environment (small crop, low-quality buds) vs a well-trained plant in a good environment(large crop, high-quality buds), the plant looks totally different.

A dying plant will look different. Of coarse. But regardless. Genetics wont change. That’s the solid truth. And just because it’s larger doesn’t make it more “high quality”. Where does that keep coming from? My smaller crops usually pack a better punch. Essp ogs. I tend to like smaller heavier buds. But to each their own. That’s what I love about genetics and getting clones. I’m not worried about the dry product. I know what ballpark I’m already in.

I heard so many stories about weed in the 70s I decided to find out myself.

had some equipment malfunctions and it claws at like 250ppm but I think it’ll survive. The clone should be way better.

1408B226-204E-4AB2-89EE-53EB58853C1B.jpegbut yeah with the commercial market theres No way companies would grow stuff like this.

8.5 weeks and the first pistils are just turning. On top of that it’s gonna yield shit. It’s not even a bud just foxtail stems with single calyx’s lining them.

Still got another couple months til I find out.

that pic of the bud isn’t mine unfortunately.

I’m guessing it’ll be 16 weeks total, just over eight right now and seeing the first brown pistils.

That’s what I’m talking about. Most people can’t wait this long. I know I can, but the majority will not wait 16 weeks.
Looks sweet hope it comes great! :weed:

My best plant was a runt i nearly culled, but luckily wound up my lone survivor. Still wish i cloned that thing.

You're right I have always gone for plants that flower off in 10 weeks or less,
but Sativa vs Indica flower times is not a real comparison
100% Indica strains, 6 weeks in veg, 8 weeks in flower (14 weeks total)
100% Sativa strains, 2 weeks in veg as they most of their growth in flower say 14 weeks (16 weeks total)
you could say Sativa strains(auto) and Sativa strains(photo) are very similar as you could flower them from seed and get the same results in the same amount of time.

Thankfully that's not yours. That plant was harvested way too early.

Most pure sativas need at least 14weeks of actual flower time not 12/12 time FYI, and if you didn’t veg them long enough to be mature they would need even more. Yes sativas stretch in flower, but if you have a mature plant that you have trained during veg you will get much better results from the plant then 12/12 from seed or only 2 weeks of veg. If you put an immature sativa into 12/12 it’s going to stretch more and take longer to transition. IMO this is one of the reasons people have so many issues growing sativas. They are afraid of their time frames and size characteristics and don’t handle those variables correctly. If you train the plant and give yourself enough time instead of always trying to rush your plants sativas aren’t that hard to grow.

I do a little training in veg, top the plants and pull them down, most of the training is done in the first 3 weeks in flower 12/12, for example, super lemon haze can really stretch in flower (80% Sativa) so you want to flower the plants off at 6"-10"
This is an Indica strain, first day in flower 12/12

4 days in flower

10 days in flower

If I can pull this off with Indica plants, I am sure I can pull it off with Sativa plants with less veg and smaller plant.
from seed to flower(12/12) was 4 weeks (large growing Indica plants).

Only trouble is alot of sativa's wont show sex till 8+ weeks in.
Last one i did went 10 weeks before i flipped to 12/12, and still it was 2 weeks before it showed.

With the landrace I’m doing i gave it four weeks then flipped to flower and they showed in like 10 days.

but the stretch was wild, there were just little tiny leaves sprouting from the nodes when I flipped, and three weeks later they were 2 foot long branches.

The one in back was female, this was about a week into flip.

Turned to this real quick. They’re up to the top of the fan now and finally seem to have quit growing.

You can grow these 12/12 from the start. That’s how the sun is in the tropics. I wake up every day at 5:40ish and sun is ip sun is down at 5:40 ish every day. However the spectrum of light towards rainy season starts to change for about a week or so in the evening to a bright red sunset. Then every plant here begins to flower shortly after in this part of the season late December and again happens in march / april. That’s just from my observations of having to walk home every day for years on end next to the hibiscus hedges. If you are smart, and want to speed up the process indoors and save on power just do the lantern routine. Run 12 hours then interrupt the dark cycle midway for a few minutes say 45 and the back to the off cycle. They continue to “veg” and then to flower. I cut the lights out for two days sometimes 3 and you will see them bleach a little, they will stop producing chlorophyll and turn yellow on the new growth tips. Then start the 11/13 or 12/12 again. I probably just saved you guys a couple bucks on power and years of trial and error. I have even gone down to 8 hour flower cycle and you can do this with males and you will get hermie males. If you are so fortunate to get a genetic disorder and want to reproduce this, like tri-nodes or variegated leaves. … sometimes trying different stuff works better than doing the same thing over and over again.

Sativas are the best and we all know it, it’s just hard to say that because indicas have big ass chunky nugs and grow fast.

what’s sad is that most people don’t like change and question everyone everywhere everything and don’t do shit for themselves.

I’ve been battling with disorders all my life and sativa weed helps me, indica doesn’t have the chemical properties of a sativa and that’s why i stay away from them regardless of the yield, provably the CBD-G. I use the entire plant too, leaves and buds are ingested in some form. The stem stalks are composted and the roots are for tea. Probably the only reason I’m still alive.
They way it’s been commercially produced is going to be the extinction of natural medicine.

"The presence of a significant quantity of myrcene makes a plant part of the indica family."
I have to strongly disagree with this particular statement; it's an old myth that keeps popping-up. Studying several hundred lab reports over a few years shows that sativa strains or indica strains can measure high on the myrcene terpene scale. My personal favorites are sativas with high myrcene content and the highest myrcene content I've seen to-date is a sativa. My personal observation is not a broad scientific study, but it is based on recorded lab results that have crossed my desk. But, that's just me.

Indicas are described as short broad leaved plants. Shouldn all indicas look that way?
despite the terpenes?
