Defoliation did I do alright? More or less defoliation?

its in a 7 gallon pot so I can either

drill some drain holes into the red tub and transplant into tht which is about 2-3 more gallons of soil or I can just transplant into a 10 gallon fabric pot tht I have

would 2-3 weeks of veg be enough? then flip to flower
What week of veg are you in again?.. from seed or clone?… sorry, I’m tired and lazy.

Ahhh!!.. yes, yes, yes… sorry, I follow a lot of threads. This is the grow with a pretty tight tent space. Reading back, I see you’re in 7 gallons already. In light of that, I’d stay in the 7 gallon since you’re tight on space. Now… what week are you in?

... also, how are you getting your runoff out of the outer orange pot? Shopvac? Going back to your tight space. .. IF your room is controlled (not the tent), then you can prop open the front flaps to allow more grow space. Like, pull the bottom of the flaps outward to not touch the plant(s). I do this when prepping 90 or so clones in a 4x8 mother tent in 5.5 inch pots to root them out before transplanting in 7 gallon pots and put them in the main room. This gives me good reflectivity, and SOME control with the temps via the exhaust.

From seed and it’s been about 8 weeks an 4 days
Ok coo. Just stay the course then. Flipping now or very soon is going to be good. They're gonna stretch like crazy for 2-3 weeks, so be prepared for that, Which is why I think you need to just stay in the 7 gallon and not disturb your training structure. They will stretch about twice it's size now if you have a handle on your environment. This is why i was talking earlier about propping the tent flaps open,... you're going to need that space.

I try not get run off but if I do I use a pretty big syringe to pull it up , alright I’ll keep tht in mind ..

It’s from seed about 8 weeks of veg so far and it’s been about 4 weeks in the 7 gallon so far

Awesome thanks for the input!
So don’t think I will have an issue with it getting rootbound later in flower ? Or run into any issues staying in the 7 gallon pot it’s been in it for about 4 weeks so far , thts my biggest concern .. on them stretching during the flowering stage yeah I can possibly keep them open I do have a windo ac and a humidifier tht ranges from40%-55%

I regularly use 7 gallon till harvest. I have a 25 ft row of Dosi Whoa! that is over my head in 7 gallon. Very thick and healthy. I defoil here and there every day. Im in week 3 of flower now in a 20x30 room with 90 plants. Tip on run off. .. get some run off. The problem with no run off is your going to be building up salts, and extra nutes that will eventually burn your plant(s) if you don't get a good 15-20% run off to help flush out the old nutes/salts, and you'll find yourself in a panic wondering why your plants all of the sudden got burned up. Here's a quick tour of my current grow, shot a few days ago. You can see how massive they can get in 7 gallons, and not get rootbound. I talk mostly about phenos in this one, but you'll get the idea.

Nah.. just alot of trial and error. Pheno hunting is not fun. You'll get a crappy uneven field if you don't find winning phenos. My next run will look very even. This one is all over the map because Im trying 2 new strains, and they all grow differently, have different structures, tolerances to light, etc. So, I've found that Lemon Cane from mother #10 that I have cloned, and will go in with my Dosi on the next run, and things should be more even. I really hate that Im wasting time, energy, and money on these BitterSweet Haze phenos... they are too short and bushy for my setup. They are getting axed from the next run. LC#10 and Dosi are currently in the Mother tent getting ready for cloning again for April's run in the main room.

So earlier this week I removed one lower branch tht was just really in a awkward position and just wasn’t getting light so I Removed and today I’ve removed some leafs just a lot of them touching which can cause issues ..
image.jpg

I just caught this and I’ll be pulling tht area down (top left corner)and have it open up more and then it should be good
image.jpg

I was being a bit lazy and didn’t want to remove the lava rocks I have on the top before adding the dry ferts. Should I scratch in more?

I think he said he's already in 7 gallons. He's gonna run out of space if anything.
so do u suggest transplanting if I haven’t flipped to flower I was able to check in between the soil and fabric pots wall and the roots tips are sticking out the soil just barely touching the fabric pot, do I veg for a week after transplanting right?

So my last grow with these strain I ran into some pm issues due to leafs touching and just was really bushy didn’t get enough airflow

This time I only topped once and I didn’t really like the shape it has, also it was really bushy with fan leaves laying on each other..
Then random off shoots shooting off but the one next to it doesn’t .. other than tht just wondering how it’s going with this last bit of defoliation before flower what do y’all think?

This how it looks after defoliation for the 3rd time in veg today.. I’ll be switching to flower in 7 days or how long shouod I wait after defoliating?View attachment 5064967View attachment 5064968

On some off shoots. I removed the lower fan leaves and left the fan leafs right below the top fresh growth like in this pic .. can I do this to the rest of the off shoots and main branches?
View attachment 5064972

View attachment 5064973

should I remove off shoots like this, I feel like it’s to far down the branch under the all the growth above. Also This is what I mean by one off shoot taking off and the opposite one doesn’t.. View attachment 5065034View attachment 5065145
I just really let them go and grow don't fuck with them until the fans are really in the way of light transfer. Then I pretty much defoliate anyting in the way of growing buds right after start of flower. It slows the growth by about three or four days after you defoliate. It worked for me but what do I know?20220122_234931.jpg20210728_085334_resized.jpg20210728_085334_resized.jpg
