These little tidbits they are giving are nice. But Louisiana needs a complete law. But I agree, they are moving in the right direction.

I just got my medical marijuana license in Louisiana yesterday. They are giving it to anybody for anything for ANY reason. It is defacto recreational marijuans. They tried to bring up recreational for a vote but it didn't make to the floor. So this is their way of making it happen.
Ironically, it was the REPUBLICANS that sponsored recreational bill but our DEMOCRATIC governor said he wouldn't sign it anyway if it passed! Just the opposite of what you would think. Louisiana is a very weird state. The republicans are seeing $$$$$ signs of course.
I believe it will come up again and Louisiana will be the first deep south state to legalize recreational cannabis.

Born and raised in Louisiana I love it there I’m glad to see it’s coming around. I already have family land in DeSoto Parrish I plan on building a nice little grow to start supplying my home state. I put a damn dispensary right next to Cousins in Stonewall. get some bud and go next door for boudin balls and other fine Cajun food.

I don't live there anymore. Originally from the Arcadia area. I hope they get their shit together. Maybe if they legalize recreational and being able to grow your own I'd go back more often. Hopefully they'll also let convicted growers like myself get their crimes off their records. The fucking Lincoln Parish DA gave me a split sentence so I lost my gun rights and voting rights for a first offense. It's all about money and how politicians look for their voters. Hopefully some patients are getting a little relief anyway.

I used to farm tomatoes/peppers/peas down in Frierson. That's gods country.

That dude is cool. I saw the ad of him smoking the blunt. I love the swamps and gators. I am taking a road trip from Florida to California and it was on my bucket list to do an airboat ride in Des allemands to see Big Al and Bubba the massive gators but it’s kinda out of the way. I love watching the YouTube videos and Louisiana is such a beautiful place. I hope they go legal soon.

Nah, pretty much exactly what you should expect. If the Rs sponsor the bill, hell freezes over before a D governor will sign it. Of course it's the other way around as well.

It does not matter what's in the bill. Can't support the opposing party. No way.

Of course, some politicians need to take it to the extreme. Like those D senators who sabotaged their own president's infrastructure bill.

I don't live in the US, but I follow US politics quite a bit. Your system is royally fucked. I hope it will get fixed some day.
