Should i be concerned?

Hello everyone, ive been having some yellowing on some leaves and honestly i was just looking for some advice. Shes a gorilla cake auto from cropking. I did lst her but idk if i over did it because shes pretty small… then again this is only my second grow and the first with soil. I ph my water before each time 6.3-6.8. Im using fox farm ocean forest soil. I have just started adding nutes to the water last week. (Only about half of recommended) Just general hydro flora series and i decided to try big bud added.. the light is a marshydro ts600. Any thoughts on it would be appreciated, thanks!

So my first thoughts are that it looks a little hungry and a mag def. Do you have Epsom salt? Or you can try increasing your nutrient strength.

Needs something. More light. More nutes. It’s very small to be showing flowers like that.

Oops okay, i do have some epsom salt. Next watering i do ill do a bit more nutes and see how she does. Im used to hydro and last time I accidentally had some nute burn so i guess i held off a bit too much on this one. So how do i use epsom salt do i just mix it with my normal nutes or just that alone?

I mix it in with my normal nutrients. And it has sulfur so it’s good for flower.

Just add it first, before your nutes. The only thing that should go in your mix before Epsom is some sort of silica. Adding after everything is combined could cause fallout

For 1 plant your light is adequate, i had some beauties under my ts600s better will get you better but adequate will get you decent

I have never heard about this. You are maybe confusing calmag with epsom…

Bump that feed up each time gradually til you are either burning the tips, or giving full recommend dose. That’s what I do. Gotta find that sweet spot in your EC.

I don't use retail cal-mag, So, couldn't tell you. I add silica, Epsom, and a homemade calcium solution then nutes. No fallout

Me neither, calcium from tap and magnesium from epsom. Even that I think your order is not completely correct. I believe it like this: first silicates than calcium and than rest. I add epsom as last after base and I do not use silicates, But whatever works for you is good. I can be wrong…

I’ve came across info like this elsewhere. Seems legit.
silica —> calmag—>Veg/bloom nutes —> other additives.. then ph.

I’ve also heard when mixing 2 part bloom nutes and using silica.. add the bloom Bfirst because of the phosphates. Supposed to bond better? Have you come across that, Or have prior knowledge of this? I’m really curious.

Stop adding phosphoric acid if that's what you're using to adjust pH for one thing. And water that soil good.

At least that's what I'd do.

I dunno about silicates coz I do not use them but from my research you should add them as first and than wait like 30 minutes before adding other stuff. I do not know why but it probably has some purpose. Maybe its BS maybe its important, you can figure out by using them and observing how your values change (or not) during that time. Next one in order of mixing should be calcium containing part of fertilizer, so it can be calmag, or calcium nitrate or whatever else. This is most likely because of some unwanted chemical reaction between calcium and other elements already presented in your solution (in case you have already added your base). Than your NPK as base (when used as dry salt, that part ussually contains also trace elements). And last epsom salt, thats how I do. Oh And pH down as last one. Different water sources and fertilizers also react different way, you need to observe how your solution behaves and your plants will tell you if it matters or if they do not give a F.

Feeding silica in soil is pointless unless you are foliar feeding.
