I’ve grown Lemon Haze as an Auto but have 3 of these photo’s started (Premium Seed Market) and was wondering why this is called ‘Super’ Lemon Haze? I always thought ‘Super’ was a term for autos bred for longer veg and production. Can anyone educate me?

If that’s the case where did super silver haze by Greenhouse seeds come from?

It’s just a name.

i could cross a critical with a skunk number 1 and call it “super duper super silver Cherry super duper haze”

No one could tell me I was wrong because I named it.

Because maybe super silver haze was crossed into lemon skunk from the dam when greenhouse developed the strain. There was a few phenos of amnesia that came from it also.

Super silver haze and lemon skunk are crossed to make super lemon haze so the better question would be,
Why is it called super silver haze?

Also super skunk was added with the NL and haze to make super silver haze - So it's basically just a name someone come up with from super skunk carried on. Think it started off with an afghan crossed with skunk #1 - the stature looked super and big with the afghan bred with skunk#1 .

I think they were attempts to say they found a really good pheno which is what they are selling. Since they tend to be older strains, it makes people more comfortable to get the "old" stuff. Just MO.

As all the others have said though usually naming conventions are done using parts of the strains name that have made up that particular strain that has been bred.

Example

Critical+ female
Super skunk male

i could cross them and call it “Super Critical Skunk”

Think you got fast and super mixed up. Fast strains are just halfworked autos that still have a photo trigger but a shortened flowering time.

Super is just a synonym for exceptionally good or strong.

But with Autos, isn't the term Super referring to growth traits? I understand with Photos it's more of a name thing. What exactly is a Semi Auto?
Semi auto = “fast” it’s usually the first or second generation of an auto breeding project (a photo crossed with an auto)

Wish we had more standardized lingo for all this. Regional variation in language used can make this all a bit more confusing than it needs to be.
