Why mix a soil when you can just buy a ready made one that works well.

All you need then is to get the basics like heat light feed water in place and that's all.

The danger now becomes everyone saying you need to mix a special soil or pH feeds or calmag and none of that is needed it just makes growing complicated.

You houseplants are a great example of not listening to lots of rubbish and keeping it simple.

She is growing well so far so good ! The root is already popping out the bottom just a little
well look at that. Its alive growing and not dead in lowes soil.
The brand you using is a rip of miracle grow which has been growing food crops for home growers for years. Its fine.
whenever you repot add perlite if you want try not to overwater
then let the plant just do its thing like you just did but now in the larger pot you put it in.
easy just let it grow
dont over think it, dont worry about what everyone else is doing you will only stress the plant and then yourself
Now is a good time to think about what you will feed. You are a good ways away from that but Id consider it

The soil you have is fine. Nothing will make it grow any better then it already is. That soil has plenty of nutrients for growth at this stage. Spend your money on perlite.
Just repot it and relax and let it do its thing.
Depends on how big of a plant you want. If it where me I would do a 2 gallon bury all that stem and just water right where you planted it, next time you water widen the circumference a bit.

Keep it Simple you will be posting some strong unstressed flowers here for us in no time

okay ! I’m not going to repot for a little bit until it outgrows that pot. I don’t want it huge I want a normal size plant lol( if that makes sense?) wym widen the circumference? I watered the whole thing! & bury the stem when it’s ready to be repotted ?

I'll probably be using this to replace some volume in my FFOF medium that I reuse. $13 at Lowes is a great price for up to 6 cu ft of product after expansion. I already add dolomite lime and azomite to medium between grows so this not having lime isnt a problem at all. Plenty of perlite already added to medium previously, but its easy to add more when needed. I also have some myco's if i wanted to add for style points

Looks acceptable, you got easy 2 weeks till repot, it will grow lots of roots first throughout the soil from bottom to top. When you repot all the roots will hold the soil together and it just pops out nicely and clean even leaving the pot clean.

Get a little bit bigger pot, you want a couple inch on either side then after that, 10"11" sounds ok.

Got pictures and details of the light and setup, now that's more important for growth than anything else.

Okay sounds good ! This is I guess my set up for now because it’s in my walk in closet & it’s so warm in there & the light works perfect the way it hangs ! (At least I think lol)

Normal size is subjective. I go 12/12 from seed in a 2 gallon and that is a normal sized plant for me. Anything much longer and you run into stress from being rootbound and stress isnt good.
10 inch is 3 gallons Id be mindful how long you veg

Okay so I’ll go with a two gallon pot ! I read a lot of good reviews about fabric pots ? Are those nice ?

You can repot a few times just don't go too big. Plastic is better to start. Just make sure the light is at right distance, might like it closer but warm is ok. Looks like you will do well with that setup to start.

No do the 3 gallon, just dont do a long drawn out extended veg then expect to flower in that same container.
remember
Give it plenty of space for the roots to grow
Stay away from over watering
Do not overfeed
give strong light no leaks at night
the plant will flourish.
I dont use the fabric pots they would be to expensive, I buy the nursery pots in bulk.

I was scared to put the light too close, I didn’t want leaves to burn
