4 weeks since germination with trichomes in veg

2 separate plants - Black cherry OG from MJ seeds Canada. I've had my share of issues starting this grow up, but the genetics appear to be strong. Never seen this before. They already smell pretty strong.

They probably need another 2 weeks in veg at least. This strain needs 8-9 weeks in flower... not exactly known for big buds - I am growing this one for a smooth smoke and a nice smell/taste. Already planning a trip out to CO to get me some more weed so I am covered for 4/20 lol

All right my fellow pot smokers, my new loupe arrived. I've never used one before - I used a USB scope before - so bear with me on the koala tee of these pics. Open the image by itself in a new tab to zoom in and see the fine details. Quite clearly you can see these are mostly bulbous trichomes. I'm pretty fascinated by this - I either never noticed before, or just had shit genetics. These plants smell a lot stronger than my previous grows did in veg.

Yep, its very common if you look at sprouts/seedlings under magnification.

Those white “dots” are part of cannabis leaf anatomy and I believe the are called glandular hairs. Dunning-Kruger effect at its again…
