Next time, start in a small pot, like a 16oz solo cup (cut holes in the bottom).. and don't saturate it. Feed it a little at first, and yes, it will pop open, and then you'll find a "rooting" period. Add a little more feed/water as you go along. Soon, you'll find that it will get root bound in the solo cup within a week or 2, then transplant into a bigger pot, and then do the same thing, feed/water around the base until it establishes roots, then you can increase your water/feed circle bigger and bigger as she goes along. Once she's in a 3 or 5 or 7 gallon pot and fully rooted, you really can't over water it (in one feeding)... I feed mine in 7 gallons once rooted good till it's gushing feed out the bottom... but you can't do that with a seedling.. baby steps.
