well as far as complaining or trying to find an excuse for shit.. I dont. women in any field of work get hit on or whatever all the time. i dont see too many girls doing that at work. and hell yeah there are assholes at work. sometimes i go out to fix a pc at some house and the guys always ask, "so are you single?" or things of that nature. i even had a guy ask me to go see his bedroom once. fuck that shit. if it were some jackass geek squad guy fixing that shit thats all it would be A JOB!. so dont come in here and call bullshit on something you dont even know. alright. sure sure i voiced an opinion on a public thread and all that jazz but even still, you come on here trying to state "facts" and not just opinions. when you get tits and a vag and work around horny ass guys then come talk to me. as for my job, well im very happy at what i do and glad to be around most of the talented and smart guys i work with. for the most part they are ok and i know how to defend myself against the typical guy. but every now and then there are just genuine assholes out there and the ones trying to back that shit up are usually assholes themselves. im not on here to bitch about co workers and i didnt start this thread to bitch. just stating my opinion on shit. just think of the last time you were with some other guys and some girl walked passed you, and im sure you or someone in that group made some comments. well i get those comments voiced at me not behind my back. you think girls go around saying" wow look at that one. id like to pound that". hell no! close minded kids.how would you like it if you being a male and some other male went up to you and was like." yeah whats up baby." i bet you would freak right. same effect here bub.

Hi panhead, netpirate and all.
I'd love to able to 'call bullshit' on netpirate's thread. It would prove that a lot of men have learnt not to be f%^k-knuckles when it comes to respect for all people.
Unfortunately that's not the case. There are still socially backward males (and females I should add) that think a woman in 'a man's job' is wrong and that women cannot possibly be as smart or as physically able as men. I've seen it in workplaces from farmhands through to transport and InfoTech.
There are also those that can't help but hit on a female that is working in a male dominated field. Must be a dominance/submissive thing.
I do agree that there are a lot of women who go for 'macho', chauvanistic type blokes, but then there are a lot of men who like dominant women.
When I worked in IT at the local university, I would have blokes come up to all the time and ask about one of my work colleagues; "is she single", "is she available", or the tackiest, "how are you and Mxxxx going hey? I bet you've already been there!"
My response was usually, "she's a very good friend of mine and I don't think her girlfriend, who is also a good friend of mine would like her dating a work colleague".
i do agree with the socially backwards females part. and about everything else for that matter. you see i knew there was a guy out there that had his eyes open.

I have a friend. *She* deals weed and works a day job. One day she wrote a letter to the editor of the paper complaining about men wolf whistling when she walked down the street. The paper interviewed her and took her photo. She copped a hiding in the 'letters to the editor' and got abused on the street.
WTF deal is that? If I was her, I'd want to be able to walk down the street without getting whistled at like a dog. If you think a wolf whistle is a term of endearment today guys, you better go back to the sixties.
If I was netpirate, I'd want to be able to do my job without the sexual innuendo and bullshit. If you were interested in me, ask me after work and take no for an answer if it comes.

I would take it as a compliment lacy as they see you as a threat the only thing with that is they are always going to act up around you, but if you can deal with that and you sound like you can then its a very level playing field, i have worked in the opposite from you like all women, however all we did was have a really good laugh but the other men that worked in the office or in another dept did not seem to like this, when it came to breaks etc i would always sit with the women and still have a carry on and the men would just sit and stare over in there group, i did not give a shit about this and after all it was the women who made me feel welcome, lets face it both sexes can be funny in life, i ve been out clubbing etc with girl friends and my girlfriend has bumped into an x, never has been a problem for me, but when the shoe has been on the other foot ive had ''who the hell is that tart etc etc and the x has been looked at from head to toe, its just people, ive always liked a strong woman in life (not to strong) lol but just do your job its them that have the problem sometimes a works night out can break down the barriers, but in life there will always be people male or female that just wont see eye 2 eye.
