It's a "600w LED" aka 80w of actual drawUhm, that doesn't look like a 600w led.
It is 600w drawn from the outlet..Uhm, that doesn't look like a 600w led.
no, its 600w drawn.. actually it says like 580 drawn on the back label.. its not as small as it seems in the pic. It's a "600w LED" aka 80w of actual draw
I did not pay anything for this, it was given to me to try and see what I think.. I have it next to the 600w HID, I will be vegging these until may and we will see where they are at then. Im not expecting anything too crazy but I thought id still veg and see what it doesAs a long time LED user, I can tell you with certainty, do not expect much from that light.
That LED light is by Hydro Grow, their reputation is shit, and with good reason.
They just rebrand, and drop ship the cheapest LED lights from China, to the USA.
Just google them and you'll see over a decades worth of problems with this company.
I'm not trying to sour you on LED or crap on your buddy's generosity.
I just wanted you to be aware of the situation so you're not too disappointed when you see the results.
There are many good LED lights out there, unfortunately, this is no where near one of them.
LOL this reminded me of what my wife told me when I was trying to hang a light.. I said "It's heavy baby I need your help" her reply.. "why don't you just put in on the floor". It took her a min to realise what she was proposing then she just helped me hang the light..So I'm mixing in vert grow

I'm putting 40 clones on shelves around my tables just to see what it does. Free smoke at the leastLOL this reminded me of what my wife told me when I was trying to hang a light.. it says hydro grow on one side and on the other side it says Extreme LED x2, I myself even tried to google up this light and could not find it, like that one dude said they may have been a scrap type of light, but it is 580w actually drawn from the wall, the light itself is stupid heavy, I had to attach it to the studs in my ceiling since I was worried about the weight of the light. I haven't had it up long enough to see what its going to do yet, but we shall see.. It was given to me so in no way can I complain nor be anything but grateful and if it doesn't keep up with the hid I will just add more light..
If its 85w led but drawing almost 600w power then I am for sure taking it down.. according to that chart it says its equiv to 1kw hid, the coverage of it feels more then 85w but Ill give it a bit of time to see..
Do you have a sealed room?If only lol I agree LED does seem to work well, but Im going to have to find a deal of a lifetime to convince her to let me spend that kind of money, in her eyes Ive been using HID for 16 years so she doesn't see why I need to spend so much on more lights.
Get the app in my signature, especially if you have an iPhone. The Android app is still in beta and isn't quite there yet on all devices. Also, the environmental condition for hid and for led are not the same. So there's no real "side by side" going on, at all.If its 85w led but drawing almost 600w power then I am for sure taking it down.. according to that chart it says its equiv to 1kw hid, the coverage of it feels more then 85w but Ill give it a bit of time to see..
