I have a container with water in it. Solos are on the chair. No run off when I watered. Should I do 2 times a day? I'll turn the lights off from 6 to 10pm. Temps are good. Fan only on 1. Fans running inside.
No run off needed right away. Just a small amount of water. 1/2 - 1 whole shot glass of water. What kind of soil is it? And what do you plan to use for nutrition later on?

Careful with the inkbird controller they are only rated for 1200w and I agree oil filled heater is best. It won’t remove humidity from your air.
I noticed this and my heater is 1350 . I constantly feel the plugs and unit itself and it hasn’t got slightest bit warm yet. Using roughly 2 months. Have you had issues cause that’s always in the back of my head

No. Are you watering seedlings every single day? IMO youre giving too little water, too frequently.

I haven't. It cycles frequently. I don't like that.

I gave it a shot glass last night then 1/2 shot 6am. Was thinking about 1/2 shot at 6pm.
For soil, thats simply not necessary. You want to water thoroughly and let it dry most of the way between waterings.

Im a reckless caveman of a grower so i dont ever measure my water but even for seedlings im definitely giving more than 1 or even 2 shotglasses, and then giving them time to drink it and have some evaporate before giving more. Constantly wet soil can lead to issues, some being potentially fatal for your plant.

Ive killed some plants with kindness in my early years, just trying to help keep anyone from doing the same. sometimes less is more.

I hope they break soil over the next few days

Yea, that heater is a toy. You need something beefier.

I got the oil heater from WMT. $39.99 +tax.

I grabbed this today. Just added a Vicks humidifier and I'm up to 50% in 5 minutes. I have it on high. I'll let it run to see how high it goes on this setting with my exhaust and fans. If I need to dial it back I will.

What do you recommend from a lighting standpoint? 24/0, 20/4 during this stage?

Humidity at 55% now. I'm thinking to move it away from the heater.

wait they havent broke soil yet? oh shit my mistake. im thinking were talking about babies that are already above soil and starting to grow. In that case my advice doesnt apply just yet. Did the seeds have a taproot before you planted? or just straight into the dirt?

Also did you thoroughly water the soil before planting? if so definitely ease up on the watering you dont wanna drown them, that first few days they are incredibly fragile

So they had a taproot. I placed them in soil 24 hours ago. I put some rooting hormone in the hole prior to placing the seed in the hole. I did not wet the soil prior. I used about 25ml per solo. I did that once yesterday. Then another 15 at 6am and 15 at 6pm. I'll ease up now that my humidity is in the 50s. I see condensation in the bags now.

Give them another 2-3 days.. you should see a sprout. No need for much light. If you can.. place the cups on top of the driver of the light for warmth. It will promote a healthy sprout. I think.. I am high af on my way to red lobster. I’ll check back in a couple hours.

So I ran mine for about 3 months no problem with a 1500 watt ceramic heater. Never really got hot or anything and I’m paranoid like you. But I came down one afternoon too the high alarm on and the temp was 92f, I was like what the fuck! The heater was stuck on and not shutting off when it hit the target temp and the red light was out. I unplugged the unit and inkbird, plugged it back in and it was still stuck on. I tried plugging into the cool side and that was also stuck on. Ended up just removing the inkbird and just using the thermostat on the heater. I immediately contacted inkbird, they got right back to me and informed me that it was overloading and that’s when I found out it was only rated for 1200w lol. I went out and got a oil filled heater then plugged it into the inkbird and ran it on medium which is only 900w. No issues ever since and I was only down the inkbird 2 days, you don’t realize how much of a convenience it is until it stops working.

Best of luck! checking on the cups and seeing leaves poking through is always an awesome moment. i always feel like a proud parent lol.

A note for next time would be to adequately water before planting, that way you dont need to disturb them again until they break ground.
