Why politics on a weed forum?

That is what I will be doing, you wont see me in any other politics posts. Again not say there shouldnt be a politics section, I was just curious as to what motivates people to do thing I wouldn't.

Only way I can smoke medical marijuana is thanks to politics.

Here in California weed is very political....

With legalization it's all about politics. All you need to look to is former Speaker of the House now being a lobbyist for the cannabis industry. You can't separate cannabis from politics. They're intertwined. Apparently some don't seem to understand that.

One of the great things about legal weed is the dilution of “ stoner culture”. I like weed but almost none of the styles that have been associated with it, and am glad to ignore conformist pressure. Judge my weed use by my weed, not my clothes or music or other collateral identifiers.

I would simply never post in a political forum especially a therad which posts in a political forum questioning those who post in a political forum when they should be stoned. I think you are genius but I’m stoned.

My only question is what motivates people to mix them. Yes this post is in the politics section but it is not about politics more so the psychology of why people do things. I never criticized anyone for what they do, never said it was wrong or that it shouldn't be here. I am simply asking about people's motivations to do something that I wouldn't. You will not see me post anything to do with anything actually political. I will not post or discuss any current or past presidents etc. Only posted here to understand motivations different than mine. Some have given good responses some seem upset that I asked. Both are fine with me as any reply get me closer to the answer I was seeking.

I moved from California less than 6 months ago. Lived there 13 years. Ive watched these forums and northern Cali growers like you and nuggs from a distance and learned a lot form you guys about growing big plants. I've smoked your stuff before, Even thought about showing up to the after harvest bbq's but it just wasn't something I could do.

I have other motivations. I have generally been happily ignorant of politics. But two, three years ago it became apparent that politics matter in a way that hadn’t since the Civil War.

I became interested as it became clear that mishandled politics could ruin my life. So I started paying some attention and saw some old bad ideologies getting pushed.
