anything over 7cm works for me lowest mid tops what difference would that make
to be fair, there is a slight difference. theres higher concentrations of hormones near the top.

OP, id defoliate the lower leaves if i were you, thats a pretty squat plant, doesnt look like theyre gonna get much light

These are clones from 4 sativa dominant super lemon haze plants - grown from seeds. When I topped them above the 5th or 6th node, I used those tops as the clones on 5 starts.

The other 5 starts were from basal stems near the bottom. They all took after a dip in Clonex gel. They were placed in coir pellets and then when roots showed they were placed in clay pots with potting soil....................

So they are both from tops and bottom stems. They are all now established plants waiting for the next harvest. The clones were taken from the plants shown on the right. I used heat mats and domes over those black trays as little clone greenhouses like I used to germinate seeds.

Since they are from separate seeds and mother plants, the genetic diversity is still there in the clones. I used 5 different lemon haze mother plants.

I wouldn't cut anything off of that. I'd flower it the way it is right now. It looks like it has lots of tops which will stretch and get into the light. The leaves will continue to photosynthesize providing energy to the plant and any fluff can be used after harvest for hash and edibles.
