Refeed?

Should you refeed your plants with the runoff from watering it? I collected almost a cup (yes I over watered) of runoff, should I dump it back in next watering? Seems right... what do you think? Fyi: 13 days old from seed atm 20220301_223631.jpg

Typically if your doing drain to waste with a soiless media like coco or peat, you get rid of the runoff. I like to toss it on the garden or the yard. With drain to waste your trying to flush the built-up salts out, so if you keep re adding it back in it may build up too much.

If your in soil you should not be getting runoff i believe but im not knowledgeable in soil.

You SHOULD be getting runoff in soil (peat based)... only thing I've found is that after GH Trio sets for 24 hours, the PH spikes from 7 to like 8.8. I don't know why, but it does. So, I just dump 20 gallons of runoff out of 100 that I feed in. This is why if I have 5-10 gallons in my rez after feeding, I'll pump it down the drain, and flush the tank for the next days feeding, and start fresh again.

Are you aerating it? Because that will raise pH. Especially with your water that already has buffers in it.
