Love the light setup. What are those UV lights? I've got 6 QB96's still in the box.QB grow - QB 96s with Pure Par Veg bulb lamp ( sunblaster ) .
Gonna have to move a few into another tent so they can not get too crowded. LST is working pretty well / and topping. KKP strain and SupaFly ( bottom bucket ).

*might*, don’t know how hard the board is being pushed, but all my kits can’t get closer than 22”.Got a great deal on a 2 board quantum board with LM301h diodes, from a local seller who built it but couldn't use it. Excited to push these ladies hard, might need to lift it higher

Im probably not doing something right.
Grats on the new light!
I duno what's going on exactly now. But I'd like to hear hlg's side of the story, after gml's poop flinging 'return episode' the other day.Yep, big falling out with GML. No HLG is not building their lights for them. I suspect the light is the issue.....
Pics of damaged tops.Hey y’all I need some assistance. I have the HLG 288 V2 dual quantum board, it pulls 273watts from the wall at it’s highest notch, and 173w out of the wall at it’s lowest . In veg I usually have it 18-20 inches from tops and at 30-40k Lumens. Temps are around 81, humidity 50-60. My last grow was in a 12gal SIP, in coot’s mix, it seemed like it burned through all the nutrients. Anyways my tops started to get real crispy almost burning them at around week 8. I started getting fox tails around 7 or 8 weeks and my final product has a grass smell to it. I would say in late flowering the closest top was at 55k lumens, maybe 16-18” away. They are good genetics: SFV OG x Stardawg from Greenpoint. I kept the humidity down to the 39’s.
I grow in a 3x3x72” tent, 4” hurricane in-line blowing the air out of the tent through a filter.
It just seems like this light is too intense. I had a clone in there at least 24-30” and my leaves were constantly droopy regardless of the soil moisture. Even when I took it out and put it under my bathroom lights the leaves come up.
How far away from the tops do you have your light at? What is your ambient temps? Do you raise your lights towards the last few weeks?
i’m stumped

Yeah it’s definitely my last run with them. Do you have anyone you recommend?Pics of damaged tops.
I run mine 18” - 20” from canopy ( dim controlled ) i look for lateral leaf spread to dictate . Plants can often run differently under led at times - some become calmag or feed hogs.
I never tun balls to the wall with my gear - best to have more pedal than lack of it.
Also … not to be a debbie downer - take Greenpoint offerings with a grain of salt. Ran many “ stardawg “ crosses from them and was mostly meh. They used to run seed auctions and was suckered before. The Deputy was a good one.
There be some chunky nugs there. Good to know plants are working thru it. High intensity light can stress a plant thats why i dont mash the gas too much plus it keeps the gear lasting long term.Well the tops didn’t get burned just crispy. A lot of trichomes looked like they were degrading. I think next time I’ll make sure the plant is small enough
I would too!

HLG and GML in 2021
Thomas Gibson (GML) demanded 10% ownership of HLG, Steve and I were not comfortable with that. At about the same time, we became aware that GML sent samples of HLG lamps to China to have them reverse engineered so that he could develop his own brand. This created a situation where continuing our relationship with GML being our Canadian distributor was no longer possible. We wish Thomas the best in his pursuit of developing his own brand.
Is HLG being sold?
The short answer is NO.
Steve and I love what we have built at HLG and we are excited about new products that are currently being developed.
We are one of the last remaining North American manufacturers of LED lamps for horticulture, so we get approached regularly by different types of investors.
There is no way to predict the future, but currently there are no plans to sell any portion of HLG. Steve and I stand committed to continuing to build our brand and pushing LED technology forward for the entire horticulture community.
We invite any of our customers and supporters to visit us at our manufacturing facility in Tennessee at any time. We love to share with everyone what we do and how we do it.
Is 3.2 mmol/joule real?
Yes. Independent tests confirm that HLG lamps have been tested and certified at this efficiency.
That said, there are variables involved in testing (test methods, testing equipment, driver performance. LED tolerances as per manufacturer, etc…), so there will always be some variation in product performance, but independent 3rd party testing is the best way to compare products from different manufacturers.
HLG has never and will never produce a lamp for test purposes only. All lamps sent by HLG for testing and certification are produced 100% with our standard components with our standard processes. Any contrary suggestion is malicious and slanderous.
We will not participate in juvenile mud slinging, but we will defend our brand.
Do any manufacturers use only the highest flux bin LEDs available?
YES! HLG uses only the highest available flux bins on our QB 288 and QB 648 modules.
Even smaller lamps like HLG 100 and HLG 65 are transitioning to highest available flux bins and we do not plan to stock anything other than highest flux bins.

SUPAFLY - ( Greenwork Collective )
( Super silver haze x DJ Short Flo F5 )
Haven’t really had much to say about this one as it seems to lag a little compared to my KKP that are twice the size in same time period. This plant is very sensitive to handling - fans easily break off. But so far i am just watching her i was going to continue training but decided to keep her going a couple more weeks then just flip it. She has been responding to the silica foliar well so far.

only 2 plus an open frame grow area. Limited because of “ kids “ leftover crap when they moved out - beds / dressers and shit. So my plan to paint and gain back a room as fizzled so far.How many tents you have going?
