It is for K-3rd grade now, with rules to come at some point in the future about grades 4 - 12.

And you don't groom kids to be gay. Folks are born the way they are. If not, how was anyone gay in the past? When you could lose your job, your church family, your real family, or even your freedom for expressing love for another person.

I don't know exactly how to describe what it is that I think I am seeing, but basically all of the improvements we have made as a society in terms of social justice is being used as a giant troll by the Republican white supremacists like DeSantis.

"Don't say gay" or anything else that makes people feel racially insensitive or whatever it is is a direct reflection of not using racial slurs.

Banning books and the books schools stopped books like Huck Finn.

etc. Just one giant troll from the right wing hate mongers to try to use all the work that people have put in to try to bring our society out of it's racist past.

It looks like it's being "Politicized". Seems similar to the disinformation on Critical Race Theory being "taught to children in grade school" when it's a purely post secondary option in most cases.

Bullshit is being fed in every walk of life now here in the West. And folks who do not have the wherewithal or critical thinking skills to look into it or the social conscience to stop the spread of bullshit are helping to tear down the very fabric of society we used to know.

Critical Race Theory? I never even have heard of this until it's been shoved down my throat so many times (by Media..they never heard of it either but boy we won't forget) the 2018 documentary SOUTHLAKE in Texas. So glad they've stopped those annoying commercials about it. They even hype the commercial by making certain parts louder for emphasis. Why I stopped watching Morning Joe- I can't take them anymore.

It's another solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Political theater, just like the go ahead and run over protesters edict and his election police force.

It’s not a don’t say gay bill. It’s an anti sexualization bill for young kids. There is absolutely no reason to be talking about sex, preference, gender or race to any kid in those age groups. We have all seen the libsoftictok videos and some of these teachers and what they are teaching and trying to do to innocent kids is absolutely disgusting.

Also to anyone that is gay or queer or whatever preference you have…..nobody cares. You do you and I hope you have a great time and enjoy being yourself. I’m glad for you. But you aren’t special. Yeah it takes courage to come out publicly. But that built up pressure is out on you by yourself. Nobody says you can’t be gay unless their family doesn’t agree. But most will come around over time is what I have seen. Being gay has started to become normalized and it’s acceptable. But some still disagree with it but the majority of people simply don’t give two fu*ks. It’s up to you to not give a flying fu*k about what anyone thinks and not let it bother you. I admit, bullying in school may be an issue in some instances, but it can be reported and dealt with.

But what this bill does is prevent any kind of sexual preference from being pushed on to kids with still developing minds. It’s not fair to the parents that a teacher can push kids to be one way or another at such an impressionable young age. That’s simply not right.

Ok its a crying shame how some immature people act on these posts. For the record I am an adult not a child of 40 or younger and yeah 90% of 40 and younger people are children and act like it. The bill is good, but I guess non of you anti straight people read the entire bill. First of all it our job as parents to teach our children NOT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM ! For anyone who disagrees with that is a fool nothing more. Let a teacher try to teach my child he is probably gay because he feels uncomfortable you wont find the body and yes that is what teachers have been pushing for a few years now.
