a mite to remember

Folks growing organically can't just dry out the soil like using bottled nutes. So we bring in predator mites/miles/beetles ect. You want to use beer and food coloring is an ole school hack .. fuck if I care..
I still can't believe you have gnats zipping around your house .. that would drive me crazy!

Lapeer.
GR. And wake up. My organic mix sterilizes in the sun in black totes. And my 16'x10'x 18" compost is pest free. Nothing goes in my grow room without being sterilized. And I never go from my yard to my grow room without changing clothes and removing or dipping my shoes.

So come on and drive. Alert me here when you reach Comstock Park. Got a buddy grinning waiting to take my car for a joy ride.

don’t kill these guys if you have them, don’t drench your soil or soilless mix with pesticides, don’t use diatomaceous earth to cover the top soil either because these guys will do the job for free. hypoaspis miles, a beneficial guy all the way. scavengers, so they will eat any pest that spends at least one phase of its lifecycle in soil (thrips and fungus gnats are the obvious pests targeted by these beauties). you may even see them roaming on the lower leaves of small plants or on seedlings too, perfectly fine. they will never ever damage your plants and kill those only which will cause damage. love these mites.

it's hard to tell for sure, but are they a lot bigger than spider mites?

I know exactly where that is at. I'll make sure to bring a few friends as well, seeing since your going to make this a house party.
You may have more garden experience than me but that won't matter once you can't see straight - I'll see you soon.
I offer a smoke filled education and free ride. You bringing friends. I said I would send a driver. Not an assassin. You are a bitch. Can't stand on your own. I been to Lapeer enough. Show up now and stand your ground covers my cleaning up your mistake.
And sincere or not.Your threat was just forwarded. Come screw your life up because you think you can grow. LMAO.

Well seeing since you like to tattle on a forum .. I'm fairly certain you would be calling the cops before I even got to your neighborhood..
it's a shame too .. You remind of the kid that taunts another kid during recess, only to hide behind the teacher when an ass beating is coming.

You threatened to violently invade my home with friends. Called domestic terrorism. Over bugs. Yeah you earned it. And I may save another from your violent tendencies. Check yourself. You are wrong on so many levels. End social issues as you spew that which you are oppressed for. Yes. Wake up. I have guns and extremely proficient with them. Only for food. You are a reason for others and me to need them for defense. Wake up DUMB ASS.

it's cool though 1 of these days someone is going slap the shit out you if it hasn't happened already
My bet is that you have had your ass beat several times throughout your miserable life.
Again knock on my door un armed. I'm sickly and recovering from a near death situation. I will still kill with my thumb alone. Shut up and be nicer. You know not of which you taunt!

and you expect me to come alone? lol no sir, at $4.50/gal I think I'll bring a few boys along.
Pussy as biotch. Lights are on and I'm brewing coffee. Like you can find me.
I'll know who you are shortly. And Lieutenant DeHaan of the Wyoming police department is your contact. Give him a call. You suck.

depending on the spider mite subspecies i guess yes and no lol. you don’t need a microscope to identify hypoaspis i can say that :)
those damn spider mites I had had to be like little specs on the web so small I might be able to tell they are red and if I stare long enough I realize they are moving so they are something alive. If there are different ones I'd say you need a scope to identify them. these guys look a little like ticks.

i don't know if I missed some argument stuff goign on I was totally skiiping it. If so, as you were, on with the show...

yeah they do kinda look like ticks but way smaller :D

they are bigger than red spiders mites and don’t make webs and they live on the soil though they sometimes crawl on the plants too and search for prey. but yeah they are definitely bigger than red ones :)

no arguments here this is a thread about hypoaspis miles but some people like to make it about themselves and we don’t feed the troll lol

Hypoaspis mites will only stay and multiply if there's a suitable food source for them.

For use on thrips they're pretty much useless, besides thrips larval stage they live on the plant sucking sap while hypoaspis mites stay in the soil below.

hypoaspis only eats decaying organic matter and pests bro, thrips as you said have a larval stage they spend in soil so if you break that cycle how would they reproduce and infest :)

"They only eat decaying organic matter and insects" :-)

I'm talking from experience not google, hypoaspis mites are useless for controlling thrips.

Of course they'll bump into each other on occasion but that's no good for pest control.

they live in the tops 4 cms of soil they very much roam on the surface of the soil and they eat larvae so you know its basic math that they will eat thrip larvae on regular basis but in these situations the actual predator count versus the pest count would also matter probably, if you have an infestation and too little predator count its possible to not see much benefits but my pots and compost is swarming with them i dont see any larva living through this to make it into an adult.

sorry your experience was different.

Have you ever used them?
