Can I add ewc to soiless mix to be used with GH floraseries

The soil mix thing is a lot like the sativa/indica thing. Everyone's got it wrong, and many of us know it, but we all use the wrong lingo anyway, unless ya'll think that Robert C Clarke is wrong: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/322819213_Cannabis_Taxonomy_The_sativa_vs_indica_debate
What is the sativa/indica thing? Don’t think I’ve heard of that one being a debate. They are both a type of weed right? One is more mind effecting, one more body, or am I getting that wrong and you have another theory?

You can click the link I provided and discover for yourself, however in short, sativa is really indica and vice/verse, according to the foremost leading botanist of cannabis.

Wow ok thanks, and elephant garlic, hardneck garlic, and soft neck garlic are all the same. I think not. Neither is sativa or indica, and if you’ve ever smoked them you’d know they are not the same.

I think my only real point is how blurry the lines really are. Someone wants to say that "soil-less" has to mean hydroponics. Others feel that soil needs to be devoid of synthetic ferts. I disagree with both assertions. There is a happy marriage to be found between both. Purists are fine though too, if that's your thing, I respect that. Personally I put organics in my hydro, and synthetics in my "soil". I'm a bastard that way.
To each his own. I get it. I respect others styles too. I guess I should always put "imo" in front of everything.

There's no difference in tomatoes either. A Cherry is the same thing as a Beef Steak, :wall:

There is no debate.
You never miss a chance to expose your ignorance do you? I actually feel sorry for you.

Did you somehow think that I said they were the same?

Yes, that's always the safest way. Even better is "in my experience", which simply puts you in the place of being an objective observer, instead of an opinionated asshole person.

Agreed. Really all I was trying to say was "ime" if your going to grow in organic medium, why not keep it organic? I like bottled nutes for hydro, because I know exactly what and how much I'm feeding my plants. Why not use an inert media for bottled, and ewc, dry amendments for "soil"? Again, just my opinion.

You said sativa is really indica and vice/verse. Is that not saying they are the same? Perhaps I’m missing something, or perhaps you just don’t even know what your talking about.

So I have some clones in a mix of
2 parts sunshine 1.5 parts ewc/Malibu compost and a handful of #4 perlite w/dr.earth
Also put one to the side for floraseries run which is the one I’m talking bout in this post

mom experimenting with different training methods to achieve my desired shape/canopy
This time I mainlined a few did a 2way and 4way mainline topping ..

also I topped one and left the bottom growth bout 6 shoots to top will see how tht one goes..

And then I left 2 alone the tallest ones , maybe use a tomatoe cage or something for tht one im thinking of letting it grow naturally with no training .. other than LSTn

I only removed the shoots would it be beneficial to leave the fan leaves or remove up to where I mainlined it?

Soooo no ewc in the sunshine mix ?
just pure peat moss and perlite should be fine? I might just add 5-10% can’t hurt too
Tht would be .5-1 liter of ewc to a gallon of the mix

Yep, what we've been calling sativa is really indica and what we've been calling indica is sativa. This is according to Robert C Clarke. It's not my theory, but I've also yet to have seen any reputable botanist disagree or debate him on the matter.

Well I admire your experimental attitude, but I think you will have more concrete results if you grow them all with the same soil/medium and nutes, otherwise there is no real comparison. Grow them all organic with different lst and pruning, then you have something to compare.

That’s just bullshit. I’ve not even smoked much since the 80s and I can tell the difference between Indica and Sativa by smell and sight.

Cannabis plants have nutrient demands which often exceed what we are able to give them by means of conventional organic gardening, so those growers who wish to maximize their harvestable mass, might choose to add synthetic fertilizer to their organically rich soil. It wouldn't be OMRI certifiable at that point however, so there's generally a trade off. Many soil growers may want to feed with "bottled nutes" in soil, simply because it's easier than providing a robust soil microbal life, but they still want the simplicity of "soil gardening" (ie: hand water intermittently, and less worry about ph).
