We're not talking about body temp, we're talking about skin temp
Do the same search using skin temp

You'll find something like this:
"The normal temperature of skin is about 33 °C or 91 °F."

*Edit: the illustration came from here:

Perhaps yours is a "medical" IR gun?
They're exactly the same but have the offset built in for taking skin temps from forehead and displaying the corresponding core temp. That would certainly account for your results.

Its the general brand posted above on a ebay link. I have a handheld skin one also..however it only reads 87-120°

I was responding to stardog regarding his 37c skin temp results

You still need to measure a leaf and another object in the same environment, with the same IR gun to determine an accurate offset
Emissivity on the meter should be ~.98 for leaves
Other materials vary, but many non-reflective surfaces are fairly close

Calibrate? The Infared gun? Its the general brand posted above identical. Is it junk?
that's mine

the EMS need to be set to 0.98 for plant leaves
each material has a different co-factor
if that's not right the calculation is being done wrong
you cannot calibrate reading out leaves with your skin or whatever
that's why I been posting the study before to show the EMS of 0.98

So the general brand i own does not have have any ems settings ..so in other words its not gona give me any accuracy in ur opinion

Damn crazy stuff going on to grow some cannabis.

My routine:

Put plants in tent under light. Supply irrigation/fertilization. Wait for flowers to form and harvest when done. Dry and smoke.

I might be old school but I can grow some dank without all this reliance on meters and and warp drive modulators.

As you were.
